Yup, another QB thread. But this time with a poll, so it's different... obviously.

I just chose some of the names that have been floating around here, and the top prospects according to WalterFootball.

Who do you want starting for the Bills in 2017, and why?

Thank yu for leaving cutler off the list.

At some point in 2017 DeShaun Watson. Not necessarily the opening day but I wouldn't mind if it was. I like him as a prospect more than most and I think a lot of people have totally overthought him. His tape is good.

I was watching some yesterday. Seems to do a lot of 1 read throws tho, no? Ive seen him pump fake and go somewhere else tho, thats refreshing

I cannot believe how many of you voted for Tyrod Taylor. He's good enough to extend the drought while winning just enough games to keep us from being able to draft one.

He may be the best option for next year, but for the long term future he's the worst option.

I voted Trubisky, but he will be gone before our first pick.

Right. Out of all the Rooks he goes through progressions the best. Thats important in the NFL. One read QBs dont do so well.

If we let Tyrod walk, I would be ok with Watson or Trubisky at #10 and let them battle it out with Cardale for the starting job.

53% for Tyrod

47% for someone else

Not really surprised :)

No me neither. I have always been that rare thing here... the guy that can absolutely see very sensible arguments on both side of this discussion and that is why I got irritated a few weeks ago with the "letting Tyrod go would be crazy" crowd. This is a really tough and finely balanced decision. I am hoping to be pleasantly surprised by a sensible pragmatic restructure.

That's how human brains are wired. It hurts to "lose" a QB that just took us to 7 wins. It's punting the ball to try to pin the opponent deep mentality.

You forgot to say "all the way" to 7 wins.. . That way it sounds like 13 wins...

I wonder what people's favorite 7-9 season was?

Seems like a lot of love for the Rex-Tyrod 7-9 finish of 2016.

Let's not forget:

2006 Dick Jauron and JP Losman, 7-9

2007 Dick Jauron and Trent Edwards, 7-9

2008 Dick Jauron and Trent Edwards, 7-9

This might be the best 7-9 finish of the last 15 years.

Maybe next year McDermott- Tyrod Taylor, 7-9...
