Good, I hope that get driven into the minds of the populace.

Conservative=against sex trafficking

Liberal=for sex trafficking

Just to punctuate the point:

Note who stands... all the loudest ones.

cued up to the right time, if not, skip to 45 seconds in

(also, the Pianist sucked)

Or at least the first to stand - I imagine quite a few were just following the lead of the first standers.  And I can forgive Adrien Brody because...c'mon, Polanski won for Brody's Oscar-winning performance.

Ford, though...he's got this great "Are we really ***** doing this?" look on his face.

Brody is a good call, it was his performance that won it.

And agree on Ford. :lol:

Ford's one of those few Hollywood stars I'd like to hit a bar with for an evening.  Him, Bruce Willis...maybe Chris Pratt or Bradley Cooper.  That's about it, really.

Ford was the only actor I was nervous to meet. Nervous for two reasons: 1) I didn't want to geek out or make an ass out of myself in front of Indiana Jones, 2) I didn't want him to end up being a dick and ruin both Han and Indy for me. I don't know if I've ever told you that story, how that meeting went down, but it's one of better ones. End of the day, he was one of the nicest guys you could hope to have a drink with, about as far removed from the Hollywood vibe as you can get (while still being a ***** movie star)... and even though I did make a slight ass out of myself, he was very kind about it and continued our conversation well past the point of politeness.

At first I really wanted to meet Bruce, but I deeply fear #2 being true with him based on other stories I've heard so I'm hesitant now.

Worked with Cooper very briefly on a development project (as a pleb, not writer/producer), but it was before he really blew up. Nice dude and a real hard worker. He gets after it in a way most Hollywood types don't -- so I respected him unlike others I've had to be a pleb for.

Don't know Pratt at all, but been to two wrap parties where Pratt attended -- right before and after Guardians 1 came out . He is authentic and funny as hell. He had two comedy writers (who are also stand ups) I was with cracking up when he was describing his daily routine when he used to live in his van (with Scooby Do on the side of it) on the beach while trying to break in. Making stand ups laugh is a badge of honor.

I can't believe this thread has gone on 300 something pages.

You all realize when you throw the out the deep state comments, all the sane people think you should be institutionalized.

you do realize that the sane people are the ones institutionalized, right?

I think contrarians believe Deep State is some sort of secret club when in reality it’s just government staffers circling the wagons to protect themselves, their jobs, and their enabling friends in the media.

Deep State is now a catch-all phrase, co-opted by the corrupt to try to diminish the truth through mockery.

When this thread began, it was not a commonly used phrase (it was used, not original just not everywhere like now) -- and it was specific in its definition as being more than just our domestic federal government. Now it's most commonly used in regards to that ... for better and worse.

The entrenched government worker is the leviathan that will always be hard to drain from the swamp. Humans will always be imperfect.

The DS narrative that runs though much of the posting is a battle of good vs evil with Deep State tentacles reaching into any 4chan corner of deviant behavior anyone feels inclined to post.

This not a battle of good vs evil, or even left vs right in the traditional sense. IMHO This is a battle of the public sector vs the private sector. That’s partly why you see so much traction for socialism. There’s a segment of the population that isn’t turned off by a complete public sector takeover. Donald Trump, an outsider, who’s used to getting things done is a HUGE threat to the waste that’s rampant in the public sector and the ‘Deep State’ doesn’t want that light shined to deep into their murky, corrupt and slovenly swamp.

More fear.

Brennan is a traitor to every oath he's ever taken. He knows he's *****.

Why isn't he going on TV this week talking about all the evidence he has about Trump's treasonous Russian collusion? Oh... right, the music stopped and John doesn't have a chair.

Orange will look good on Brennan.
