I agree that the personnel fit his scheme. It was only one year. It was the definition of an anomaly.

There is a tendency for us fans to assume that any upward tick is a harbinger of a meteoric rise to greatest. It happens often enough. Some player has a good season, and it's a lock that the good times will just keep going. Unfortunately, it rarely pans out that way. e.g., Trent Edwards spends the off-season working on his putting, and the wheels come off the bus. Suits get worried and promoted, coaching staffs get fired, and the vicious circle of mediocrity spins like an empty bottle round and round and round.

Until you catch a genie in that same bottle and then you are set for a decade of fun every Sunday!

@BuffaloBillsPR

The @buffalobills have 281 points through 11 games this year--the team's most since 1992.

With today's win, we are now 8-7 in games where we score 25 or more points since 2015. We need to continue improving that w/l total in high scoring games.

On to Oakland.

Bills D has been a big letdown most games...we score then they allow a TD right afterwards instead of getting a stop...

except the defense was 10 in 2013...would have been higher but pettine can't coach run defense. schwartz came in and fixed the run def and the pass defense basically stayed the same and we vaulted to the 4 defense. so we were trending into a good defense and it wasn't an anomaly..

Some of you guys are perfect for Buffalo you never miss an opportunity to turn a positive into a negative. TT is a different type of QB and the Bills run a different type of offense. Average points scored should make it obvious that other teams are having a hard time stopping it. I don't know how long it will last but the Cinci game and the Jville game are ones that we normally lose at the end and we pulled them out that has to be a positive even for the most negative of us right? Right now the D is holding us back a bit but if the get hot we are going to the playoffs for the first time in some of your lives.
