Falcons, Texans, Bills among offensive lines to watch in Week 5
Can the Falcons O-line protect Matt Ryan and lead the best offense in the NFL against the Von Miller-led Broncos' defense? Shaun O'Hara weighs in and lists other O-line units to watch in Week 5.

Buffalo Bills

This week's matchup: at Los Angeles Rams, 4:25 p.m. ET on Sunday.

The Bills' offensive line has been very stout inside with left guard Richie Incognito, center Eric Wood, right guard John Miller and left tackle Cordy Glenn, who has missed several weeks due to a high ankle sprain. The Bills will have the advantage in this game if they keep running the ball. The Bills did a good job running the ball last week against the Patriots and racked up 134 yards for an average of 4.2 yards per carry.

However, Buffalo's guards have struggled in pass protection. Through four weeks, three sacks have been attributed to the unit -- all three given up by Incognito. He and Wood will have a nightmare matchup against Aaron Donald, who played a shade of nose tackle against the Bucs a week ago.

LA Rams Gameday Release

Kouandjio, Salas still not practicing

It’s not looking good for Cyrus Kouandjio or Greg Salas on Sunday. Both did not practice for a second straight day due to ankle and groin injuries respectively. CB Corey White has a shoulder injury and hasn’t practiced this week either. Head coach Rex Ryan said he’s concerned about White’s availability for Sunday as well.

He did say he feels good about both Cordy Glenn and Stephon Gilmore being ready for Sunday’s game in L.A. Here’s a look at Buffalo’s Thursday injury report.

Rams DL still nicked up

The Rams have one of the best defensive lines in football, but they’re not looking like they’ll be 100 percent healthy Sunday when they host the Bills.

Three of their four starting defensive linemen did not practice on Thursday. In fact DT Michael Brockers, who was a limited participant Wednesday did not practice at all Thursday. DEs William Hayes and Robert Quinn both missed practice for a second straight day.

L.A’s top wideout Kenny Britt has also be unable to practice this week.

In new ‘Hot Read,’ @tyschalter previews #Bills-#Rams, a surprisingly intriguing game, unlike his dud of the wk: http://shawurl.com/2vc0

Game of the Week

God help me, but I'm fascinated by the Buffalo Bills/Los Angeles Rams matchup: Here we have two very talented defenses coming off strong performances, and two lightly-regarded offenses putting up points in bunches. Most of all you have the NFL's two most-joked-about head coaches, both of whom have done great coaching jobs.

With Seattle on the bye, a Rams win would vault them a half-game clear of the Seahawks (plus the head-to-head tiebreaker). A Bills win would keep them within striking distance of New England, and vault them back into the AFC wild-card race.

It's hard to believe both of these teams are as good as they've shown over the past couple of weeks; either one of them is going to prove themselves worthy, or we're in for a knuckle-bruising heavyweight bout.

I really hope we can keep Tyrod healthy in this one, that defensive line is quite creely!! Predicting Keenum throws 2 picks under pressure, or 1 int and a FF by Hughes or Lorax.

Like Gugny was saying, this game will divide the 2 teams into the early "contenders/pretenders" category, with the hype of both teams beating 2015 Championship/playoff teams. (Cards/Pats/Seadonkeys)

Buffalo at Los Angeles

Bills: Through two games, it’s clear that new offensive coordinator Anthony Lynn is comfortable using overloaded formations to the short side of the field. In other words, when the ball is on a hashmark, Lynn will put most of his receivers and tight ends (and sometimes an offset fullback) to that same side, even though there’s less field available. It’s the opposite of how teams typically line up. The Bills were a little predictable out of these looks in Lynn’s OC debut against Arizona. (That may have contributed to Tyrann Mathieu’s forced fumble play.) But at New England they were much more diverse and, for the most part, successful.

Rams: This defense has been great in straight zone coverage, perhaps even more on the back end than along its dynamic front line.
