MUST-FLEE TV:

Read the Trump Derangement Behind ‘Party of Five’ 2.0.

The minds behind the Fox series “Party of Five” didn’t want to revive the show for the usual reasons.

Nostalgia sells, of course, and new versions of “Will & Grace,” “Veronica Mars” and “Roseanne” scored (again) with audiences. Amy Lippman, who created the ’90s hit “Party of Five” with Chris Keyser, told the TV’s Top 5 Podcast that she needed a better reason to bring the story back to primetime TV.

The nation’s immigration crisis, and a hearty case of Trump Derangement, gave her team all the rocket fuel required.

Read the whole thing.

This is an ongoing spat between APD and the court system. Courts here have a little problem releasing those who the APD apprehends (particularly juveniles) only to have APD pick them up again for another crime. APD basically saying we’re not going to chase them if you’re just going to let them go.

HIGHER EDUCATION BUBBLE UPDATE, NAZI BARBIE EDITION:

Aw hell no, now I’m taking to the streets!

btw, what’s the sexually suggestive part?  It’s a photo of a woman in a bathing suit.  Everything thereafter is in the mind and bathing suit area of the beholder.

Here's to the ones that we got
Cheers to the wish you were here, but you're not
'Cause the drinks bring back all the memories
Of everything we've been through
Toast to the ones here today
Toast to the ones that we lost on the way
'Cause the drinks bring back all the memories
And the memories bring back, memories bring back youfarrah-fawcett.ABC_News.youtube-370x242.jpg

WALSH: Every Sane Person Saw This Coming. Now A Pedophile Claims He Identifies As An 8-Year-Old Girl.

Quote

A convicted sex offender in Michigan is heading to prison for 10–20 years after being caught with child pornography on his computer. What makes this case interesting is the defense that 45-year-old Joseph Gobrick offered in court. Speaking to a judge at his sentencing hearing, Gobrick claimed that he has a First Amendment right to look at child porn. He also claimed that he identifies as an eight-year-old girl.

“I’ve always been an eight-year-old girl,’’ Gobrick contended. “Even in my drawings and fantasies, I am always an eight-year-old girl. … There are adults having sex with me in an online forum as an eight-year-old girl.”

The judge apparently did not find this argument persuasive. No reasonable person would. But an obvious question is raised here. Why exactly can’t Gobrick identity as a young girl? On what basis can we deny or disqualify his self-identification?

Again, the reasonable among us know the answer. He can’t identify as one because he isn’t one. According to all available metrics, he is a 45-year-old pervert, not a third grader. He cannot choose to be a different age. He is the age he is, and that’s all there is to it. It is either insanity or willful deception that causes him to make this claim about himself. We therefore are perfectly justified in refuting his self-identity and refusing to play along with it. More than merely justified, we are in fact morally obliged to insist on truth over harmful fantasies and delusions.

But propagators of left-wing gender theory are not reasonable.

The United Methodist Church Split – Just Another Example of the Lies White Liberals Tell Themselves About Diversity

Kira Davis

The United Methodist Church has come to a tentative agreement to split over the issue of gay marriage. The Hill reports that an agreement was reached in mediation just as the Methodist bureaucracy was about to impose sanctions for any ministers who violate the Church’s official position on the sanctity of marriage.

Friday’s announcement comes as sanctions were about to be put into place that would have severely punished Methodist ministers for presiding over same-sex marriages, with a yearlong ban without pay for the first marriage and then removal from the clergy for any subsequent marriage.

The agreement, which was facilitated by mediation expert Kenneth Feinberg, reportedly gives $25 million to the “traditional” denomination that will be formed. That group will include churches in the U.S. as well as most of the churches in Africa, the Post reported.

In return, the new denomination will drop all claims to any assets of the United Methodist Church, but they will reportedly be able to bring certain assets with them.

The agreement also earmarked $39 million “to ensure there is no disruption in supporting ministries for communities historically marginalized by racism.”

The issue of same-sex marriage has been driving a wedge between traditional UMC congregations and the rise of left-wing progressive UMC congregations across North America.

But that’s really just the tip of the iceberg here. The larger issue at hand is much, much more serious. It is about race, colonialism, and the lies liberals tell themselves about tolerance and diversity.

You see, this isn’t a split between the tolerant church and the homophobic church. This is a split between the white American UMC and the African UMC. Colonialism established the UMC in Africa. Colonialism made it one of the most powerful faith institutions on the continent. As long as the African church was staying in line with their white American overseers, everything was fine.

Everyone loves “multiculturalism” until it rears its ugly head and shows you a face you weren’t prepared to deal with. White liberal UMC congregations love black worshippers…until those worshippers no longer toe the liberal line. Which is pretty much always.

The African continent is still steeped in what we call “traditionalism”. Throughout their diverse array of nations one can still find traditional views on everything from marriage to parenting to schooling. Some cultures on the African continent still cling to distorted views of women and freedom, but those are views that were perverse from the beginning. The African “church” (Christian church in general) has actually been the beacon that has pulled many nations into modern times. The message of solidarity in Christ and being adopted into the same Holy Kingdom is persuasive. It changes entire cultures.

Apostate church is apostate.

Fears over race relations affected police probe into child sex grooming gang, report suggests.

“The authorities knew that many [victims] were being subjected to the most profound abuse and exploitation but did not protect them from the perpetrators.

This is a depressingly familiar picture and has been seen in many other towns and cities across the country.”

HEY’LL PILE ON YOU FOR AN UN-PC TWEET, THOUGH:

Manchester police knew a ring of Pakistani men were abusing young girls and did nothing (Update).

So why didn’t the police and social workers do more to stop this? Because the crimes were considered racially sensitive. Local Labour MP Ann Cryer did try to do something after a group of mothers came to beg her help. She went first to a local Pakistani community leader but her concerns were brushed off. She then tried to bring attention to the story by going directly to the media.

Andrew Malcolm, a reporter for the London Times, saw the press release written by Cryer but ultimately decided not to write about the story because he didn’t want to provide fodder for the British National Party, which was gaining support at the time. “To my shame I allowed my liberal fear about giving succor and credence to the British National Party to act as a break on actually doing my job,” Malcolm told the BBC.

Cryer, the Labour MP, said that some members of her party offered support but others began whispering that perhaps she was a racist.

It’s almost like “racism” is just a tool to neutralize any effort by communities to look after themselves.

Ricky Gervais and Jeremy Clarkson are no laughing matter.

As Glenn likes to say, leftists are still trying to cope with their loss of accustomed impunity.

While Clarkson, the veteran Top Gear/Grand Tour host has long been associated with England’s Torys, he’s anti-Brexit, and Gervais is reliably leftist on most issues, but understands that a comedian’s job is to poke fun at whoever the sacred cows in power happen to be.

But these days, to mock the left is to be dubbed a cross between a crypto-Nazi and neo-confederate, based on the illustration that accompanies the Guardian’s screed:

DC05684F-7699-47BC-B32A-07098AAF35DB.jpe

That’s some highly subtle and nuanced leftist humor on display right there. ?
