Why does BFLo own the Bay Area hockey teams? Even when Sabres are on downswing and SJ (et al) are on upswing (were the Golden Seals ever on an "upswing" LoL)... Sabres seem to always win... Even in the Shark Tank?

You can always count on a win!

Does it go back to the Golden Seals and NHL ripping off BFLo in 1967, during the "first" NHL expansion, where the better hockey town had to wait three more years (1970) to get their beloved Sabres! Should have put BFLo in 1967, but the Knox family were good soldiers and played along for three years... So we always get a win now against teams in Oakland/San Jose? Seems like the only thing that goes right for the Sabres! LoL... I keed, I keed! But it is nice banking on a win against San Jose!

There was an interesting discussion on WGR Hockey Hot Line with Andrew Peters. His radio partner was discussing the possibility of acquiring Stamkos in a trade or through free agency in the offseason. Andrew Peters made the point that considering where this team was in rebuilding its roster the smarter approach would be not to sign the stud player and pay him at the top tier level but it would be a better approach to take the money that would be dedicated to him and get two or three very good players to build the roster and add depth to it.

I agree with Peters. When the Sabres have injuries as is to be expected they end up struggling because there is so little depth. Harry Neale on WGR stated that the team is at least a couple of years from being a serious team. If that is the case it might be a better strategy to bolster the overall roster with the cap money instead of dedicating too great a share to a fewer players.

Sabres played a perfect road game. Good job but very frustrating for me to watch. Aside from the Sharks not being a good home team I have no idea why Buffalo has our number. We lose to them and 2 days later we go into Chicago or some other good team and beat them. Hard to figure but nice game by the Sabres non the less.
