Problems at the Ralph

Not sure if the OP ever answered the question of when he tried entering.

Just take a small amount of personal responsibility and come to the gate early instead of crying about others' failures. I guarantee that will fix the "problem".

I did have one issue though, the overofficious security person who wanded me (after my boots set off the alarm at the gate 3 metal detector) insisted that I couldn't bring my tablet into the stadium. I calmly asked to speak to his supervisor, who then set Barney Fife straight.

Okay here's my (OP) response. Arrived at gate 2 at 12:25; it was jam packed. Tried media gate - not allowed and access to other gates via walking towards back lot of stadium is blocked and off limits. So next option is gate 3; jam packed despite new metal detectors and a 30 + minute ordeal as originally posted. And traditionally gate 4 is the worst. In any event, and as is usual, most responses are from IQ challenged folks on this board are, charitably but predictably, clueless. It does not matter one iota whether you got to some gate at 11:45 and got through in 5 minutes. You have had 3 separate posts on this topic describing the exact same problem that I encountered, so it's not a case of getting there 5 minutes before game time or an unwillingness to walk an extra 100 yards. I mean please. My 30 minute ordeal still got me in my seat by the time game started, but if you are bright enough to understand my original OP it was more about the absolute mass crush of people anxious to get in by game time, and the safety of the kids caught in that crush. But as usual, the sheep of WNY spend 130 million of their hard earned tax dollars, and in no way shape or form want Bills held accountable for the gate mess. Why should they, as long as they got to their seat in short order. And why not address the main point of the OP, that CEO Brandon gets on WGR and talks about the importance of the fan experience, and WGR hosts NEVER challenge his narrative as to how great everything is at the Ralph. Again, your personal experience of getting thru the gates without a problem does not mean that the Bills organization should not be held accountable for the thousands of folks who arrived there early, encountered long waits and dangerous crush of people, despite a willingness to go to ANY gate that was accessible. How about holding Brandon and the Bills accountable to the principle that if you arrive at ANY gate 35 minutes early, you should not have to endure a crush of people and a 30 minute wait, given the price of your ticket. How about it, sheep? Is that asking too much for your 130 million dollar investment?

I'm thinking your problem with the gates is like your problem with this post.

You can't figure out how to use white space.

Well that's a REAL intelligent answer to the points raised. But the fact that you will not respond to those points suggests that you can't.

Huh.

Seems like those of us waiting for a confessional/admitted need for a personality transplant are going to have to wait a bit longer.

That's cool, I've got time...

Classic; unable to intelligently respond to any of the points raised, the much thought out response is "huh" - genius

Pretty much everyone responded intelligently to your post. The consensus is that you're a complainer who blames others for your own poor decisions.

And that includes, I suppose, those who posted that they had the EXACT same experience I did. And please, point me to the post that addressed the WGR points or the crush and 30+ minute wait at gates 2 & 3. You certainly were incapable of addressing those points. huh.

One of the three of you said he did it specifically to get the worst experience and be able to report back to the bills fan experience committee he serves on.

That you saw the same situation as the best case scenario makes us all wonder about your judgement. That you read it and continue the woe is me they don't care about the experience is also puzzling.

Maybe Russ could send you a helmet of some variety to protect you against crushing crowds, falling out of bed, or tripping over your own feet.

I read this in the voice of Rush Limbaugh and then Al Sharpton.

I walked over at 12, was inside by 12:20 including the time to get there.

So it was impossible for anyone else to take longer to get in? After 3 others have pointed to 30 minute waits

So that 'worst experience' didnt happen? and wasnt shared by the many fans at those gates?

You can't fix stupid. When you see a gate JAMMED and continue to try to go in that gate, what kind of instructions do you need to pick another gate? Maybe Brandon should come down to the parking lot and personally escort your stupid ass in.

Maybe they should have someone on a loud speaker helping people out "If you're too stupid to go to another gate after you see this one is jammed...there is another gate...right over there...not jammed..like 5 minutes to get in."

Maybe Russ, who gets on WGR and explains how concerned he is about the fan experience, should address a problem that many experienced. It is, after all, the year 2015, and the team was handed 130 million in taxpayer subsidies, in addition to the 5 million + subsidy the taxpayers pay out every year to the Bills. Instead of defending WHATEVER the team does, why not ask for a bit of accountability in terms of getting the fans into the stadium in a safe and timely matter. No need for a helmet, just a simple plan conducive to the safety of the fans. Is that asking too much, or do the apologies for Russ and the team go on and on. Sheep - led to the slaughter, and too dumb to expect any standards.

Why are you on here whining about it and telling other people what to do? If YOU are so unhappy with what happened to YOU, then YOU should contact the Bills and complain. Good god man if you're unhappy about something, call or email and let them know. Don't come here whining about it when none of us are in a position to do a damn thing about it.

The more you post the less surprised any of us are that you were unable to solve this predicament.

Seems plenty of these sheep were wise enough to walk away from the near slaughter you experienced.

@vegas55: I'm with you on this one. Obviously, there were hundreds, maybe even thousands, of other fans who experienced the same delays as you did, so something should be done to fix the situation.

And I find it laughable that there are so many in here willing to attack you for simply expecting good customer service (CS), after you have spent hundreds of dollars to go see a game, and after the taxpayers have spent millions of dollars on improvements at RWS. We all expect good, prompt CS when we go out to eat at a restaurant...and normally spend a LOT less $$$ there, I might add.....so why shouldn't we expect good CS from the Bills organization?

Well actually I was just pointing out a problem at the Ralph. God forbid that this forum should be used in any way, shape or form that could be possibly construed as a criticism of the Bills and their management of the stadium. Let's keep a guy like you happy and just post smiley face positives about how great everything is at the Ralph. Just like they do on WGR when Brandon is on. Nobody is whining here genius, just stating facts about what happened at the stadium. Listen, if you think with all the resources the Erie County taxpayers have showered on the Bills that a 30+ minute wait and a crush of humanity is a fine and acceptable standard, then fine. I have no problem with you and others accepting such a low standard of service. As long as you get to your seat in time, it does not matter what level the service is. God the geniuses on this board. The Bills can never do anything wrong. Of course they have not been to the playoffs in this century, but criticism of their competence is called "whining". Sheep

the MAJORITY had no issues. He's in the MINORITY. If he was that upset he would say something to the Bills instead of whining on a message board and then insulting the majority of people who had no issues
