[closed]Off-season plan summary that has us all going "Super Bowl&

Recommended Posts

  1. Replace the only Bills coach with a winning record this century, with a guy who hasn't had a winning season since 2010. Also same guy, the Bills spanked twice in 2014.
  2. Get rid of the defensive coordinator of one of the top three rated defenses in the NFL
  3. Bring in a former 6th round draft pick with no NFL starts to be our new QB
  4. Get rid of Kiko and Fred Jackson. Roll the dice on Fred not ending up on a division rival.
  5. Bring in an often injured WR who accomplished nothing in 2014 except for being named the NFL's most hated player
  6. Bring in an offensive lineman who hasn't played in more than a year. A leading candidate to be the 2013 version of the most hated player in the NFL
  7. No first round draft pick so nothing there.
  8. Second round draft pick will be used on a short CB who will be continually torched by taller WRs in pre-season.
  9. Third round pick will be used on a guard, who appears to be a starting caliber card
  10. fourth round pick will be cut in the cut down to 75

If this was laid out as the plan last Christmas, not sure how many season ticket buyers there would be.

I sincerely hope the fan base hasn't been russelled.

Of course the list looks bad when you leave out the pluses -- like McCoy, the best coaching staff (talking assistant coaches and position coaches) money can buy, an offensive coordinator who's going to be a HC and has consistently fielded top rushing offenses, and our head coach happens to be the second best defensive coach in the league.

Leaving those things off your list isn't very objective, nor informative.

This thread is horrible.. The poster obviously has no FEEL for the game or it's moving part's. We are equipped to destroy the competition this year. The ONLY position I am even slightly worried about is our secondary. If Mcelvin can come back and stay healthy and Darby improves which he should, we should go deep into the playoffs and perhaps all the way. GO BILLS... Thank you for your presence in Buffalo Freddy J, you will be missed.

What about resigning Hughes and signing Charles Clay? We extended Robey. Sammy's ribs have healed. We are deep at QB (remember Thad Lewis, Billy Joe Hobert, andGilbert Hamden?). We got rid of Capitulate Doug. What is not to love Mr Half Empty Guy?

And oh yeah, I almost forgot. We added some running back named LeSean McCoy

Seems to be a glass half full guy. First off Rex is a world class defensive coach so even if you liked Schwartz that's at least a push. Roman over Marrone and company is a huge upgrade in offensive coaching. InCognito and Miller appear to be starting caliber NFL guards which is a huge upgrade along the O-line. McCoy is a huge weapon and threat out of the backfield that is an immidate upgrade over what the Bills had last season. Charles Clay is a substancial upgrade over Chandler (Although I would have kept Chandler as a backup, a mistake).

They resigned Hughes who was key to retain but let Searcy walk. They added Darby to replace Graham at CB who changed to FS to replace Searcy. Cassell was also a nice addition as a backup QB. Also the Harvin addition was a decent shot to take not the biggest fan of the move but it could pay off as a significant upgrade.

To top it off the team was 9-7 last year. Even if the team only wins one more game than last year that's still 10 wins possibly enough to make the playoffs. So you are starting with a huge talent base and adding even modestly onto it.
