Mario Butler story in the Buffnews

Recommended Posts

Tyler Dunne does a pretty decent job with these things. I like finding out about these guys' lives off the field. Butler has had a good camp and probably makes the team. His dad was murdered, sliced up, and put in a locked refrigerator when Mario was 10 and his family never found out anything about the murder.

Good read. Wish the guy well.

I worked for a while at the high school he went to, although long after he was there. The neighborhood he grew up in, obviously, is a place no one should ever want to be. He traveled a good 40 minutes to go to a high school in a better area.

Tyler is an example of a great sports writer. Sully . . . not so much.

This article also shows some of difficult circumstances that some of these guys face growing up -- circumstances that many of us who post here never have had to face.

Great article. Dunne is an actual human being. and a gosh darned fine breath of fresh air.

Rex spoke highly of Butler more than once. with Leo out we should keep him on board.

And wow thats another crazy story about a difficult upbringing turned around.

Very proud of Butler!!
