Rd 5 pick 155 RB Karlos Williams Florida State

Recommended Posts

Of course not in the 3 count. I was thinking 4 count (even going in before Williams, with McCoy, Freddy, Boobie and Brown). They could still keep four because of ST, short yardage, lack of a good TE meaning keep one less than Roman may want and use Boobie and Felton as that guy who can block, move in motion, maybe flare out.

Beyond being in sf, do we have any indication that roman actually likes boobie? I don't recall any comments (good or bad)

Whaley also said some of these picks might not make the team.. It's certainly a possibility. Tank Carder didn't make the Bills squad and he was a 5th round pick.

So i wouldn't write off players already on the roster just because Williams was drafted.

Get younger, get cheaper, get more talented. It's how you churn guys in a roster like this. I've been saying vets that don't start will have a target on them and this looks to be a guy that facilitates one of those moves.

Unfortunately for Boobie, that's the fallout from having a top heavy salary structure.

The middle class gets smaller, even though he's a nice player and seems like a good presence in the locker room...

So were all of the RB's last year. Was it more them, or the line or the coach?

I think the oline and coach were huge problems. But Brown was the worst. Even worse than 87 year old Fred Jackson.

He was like Spiller without the speed. He looked like just another dime a dozen rb.

No love for Bryce in his limited role, yet some people still think EJ should get more chances.

You are comparing apples to oranges; the point most people are making, IMO, is that Brown does not really fit the mold of ground & pound, plus ball security has been his demon.

I can't remember if it was a comment Boobie made about being happy about Roman, or Roman about Boobie, but it was a very favorable comment like happy about reunion. But it's kind of hard to believe a guy like Roman doesn't love a guy like Boobie.

Just to recap...we traded our fourth round pick for Bryce Brown and then drafted his replacement in the fifth.

Whaley's a crafty one. It's his way of dropping salary. Next year he'll pick a RB in the 6th round to replace Williams.

@BuffaloBillsPR

Despite only playing running back for two seasons, Karlos Williams ranks ninth in @FSU_Football school history with 22 rushing touchdowns.

Karlos Williams was also a key special teamer at FSU, returning 29 kicks during his four years as a Seminole.

Oh, nice!

I'd like to have a 230-pound kick returner! I hope he could be effective in that role.

This is filled with so much wrong. Running back is the easiest position to come into the league and play.

But you're right. A first round pick qb and rb you traded a 4th round pick for should be judged completely the same.

I think there is a lot of posts underplaying the guys skill. Freak athlete, still pretty green when it comes to the position but still managed 11 TDs in each of the last two seasons (most efficient red zone RB in the draft). I feel like he has a chance to be the #2 by the first week of the season. Also, seems to be a special teams star, which is always good in late round picks

Agreed. Also, if he doesn't clean up his off the field stuff, he might not even got a shot. There are some big red flags with him.
