He's a bit of an older prospect (turning 25), but is seemingly one who can contribute right away. He plays a bit too high at times, but the combination of size (6-foot-6, 285-pounds), length, strength, speed, and movement ability makes him a great addition. And, the Bills are interested in him, having had him in for a pre-draft visit. We have analyzed, sometimes even criticized some suggestions. With that in mind, it would seem unfair not to provide a mock draft of my own, one that can be equally ridiculed by all when the final selections are made and it turns out half my suggested picks have failed to be taken after all. This mock is not about what I would do with the pick if I was the team’s general manager, rather what I believe each team will do, given all the information we have filtered through here at Draft Wire since the college football season ended. Having said all that, I offer you my suggestions – flame away: La Canfora's NFL Mock Draft: Saints wheel and deal, grab Paxton Lynch Armed with last-minute intel from scouts and GMs across the league, Jason La Canfora unveils his one and only mock draft. It's packed with some first-round trades, including the Saints grabbing a potential successor to Drew Brees. 19. Buffalo Bills Shaq Lawson, DE, Clemson: They're going to do defense with this pick, and someone on the edge almost certainly from what I hear. They badly need hope on the pass rush and Rex Ryan knows the Clemson program very well from his son being on the team. Perhaps it's DE Kevin Dodd as well, from Clemson. If the off-field risk doesn't scare them too much, Noah Spence could be the pick. This is one of very few teams where I legit hear Spence is in play. Round 1 - Pick 19, Shaq Lawson, DE, Clemson: I'm sticking with my final projection. Lawson seems like a perfect fit. The big question is, will he be there? Round 2 - Pick 49, Braxton Miller, WR, Ohio State: Bills Director of Player Personnel Jim Monos said Miller is ready to play as a rookie, and the versatility he could provide as receiver, runner and potentially even as a passer has to be intriguing to offensive coordinator Greg Roman. Round 3 - Pick 80, Jaylon Smith, OLB, Notre Dame: This is largely dependent on the report given to General Manager Doug Whaley from the team's medical staff. If it's favorable – as in, Smith is projected to make a full recovery – the chance to get him in the third round shouldn't be passed up.
