I highly doubt someone would walk away from that much money (unless compromising photographs were involved). Yea, if they are fired they will continue to be paid by the team that fires them, and If they part ways there is no more money from the team. So there is a difference. Pretty sure Gase is already slotted for the Denver HCing job, and if not he has an interview with the 49ers. Denver probably figured they would lose Gase, so this is why they made this move. Git 'er done, Broncs!! For selfish reasons, namely Julius Thomas and a couple OL, I hope Manning retires and the Broncos start over with Gase.
