But barring such a miracle, I think this staff is doing a good job with the what they inherited. The issue is primarily @ QB and that's all on Gailey and Nix. KGUNBILLS Posted November 15, 2014 Share Posted November 15, 2014 I don't think a "housecleaning" is needed. Our defense is pretty good. it may need some tweaking, but overall it is decent. They breakdown because of our inept offense, and are prone to giving up big plays late in games due to exhaustion. Also, it would be nice to have the luxury of having a coach, that could just coach, and not worry about snapping a large playoff drought. I don't care what any of them have said to a reporter, snapping that streak is ultimately been the house plan. With having written that, it would be nice to have a coaching staff that could effectively manage the talent that this team has. NE has been successful because they make adjustments, and have the ability to manage talent. We don't have that. You clearly don't understand, in the slightest, what is happening with the Sabres. The path the Sabres are on now is entirely about avoiding what everyone bitches about on this forum ad nauseam. You know, perpetual mediocrity. If the current Sabre rebuild achieves even 75% of its objectives, it will result in the strongest Sabres team we have ever iced. Sometimes in life you have to take a few steps back in order to leap forward. Spare Whaley and anyone else you would like to at OBD...but do so at your peril. The players need to sense that mangagemnt and ownership has a single goal. I think for years under the old guard this was not the case.I'm hopin that the Pegulas will chnge the culture of this team from the Top down. Chip kelly got the keys and is flying pretty highard out of the gate. Even if you want to believe a 93 year old man was making all the decisions and ruining Things and this regime started 2 years ago... it still looks to me like we are stuck in the mud. This organization is just screaming for someone knowledgeable from the outside to be installed at the top. Create a winning football program here long term. Everyone should be rooting for this, no? Any fan who wants to protect this losing culture that forces me to hope and pray the bills can "keep it interesting" through the middle of November every season has stockholm syndrome.
