Also there are a lot of different ways to enforce a ban beside peoples paranoid posse of a roving federal band going around and taking peoples guns. Lets get the state (aggression) against citizens. you started with a rant about some roving police force, implying it was a conspiracy. then ended it with escalation to what? While the majority of gun crime and mass shootings are in your strongholds. and banning AR-15 would have absolutely no impact on that. The point was people are paranoid that the government will do that, but first they'd have to actually vote to do it, I'll believe it when I see it, second they'd have to decide to try and enforce it as stupidly as possible, I brought it up at the end because they do have the authority to do more extreme measures because we give them that. Same process. like 10 people registered. Lots of folks said they had boating accidents. Here is one. How would the government know where they are? What hate group is in my backyard? I shoot from my deck. How would they know if that's an AR or a bolt action 308? There is no comprehensive national system of gun registration. In fact, federal law prohibits the use of the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) to create any system of registration of firearms or firearm owners If they do they are actively infringing on rights of citizens.
