I don't even think it is up for debate. Power closers often times when it goes bad it goes bad quickly & then they are done. Mo has been doing it for what 16/17 years with great success. Justice Posted May 4, 2012 Share Posted May 4, 2012 I felt real bad for Mo, watching SC, last night. You could see the pain on his face as he realizes it might actually be over. I felt sadder for Mo then when I heard about the Seau story, to tell you the truth. In a way, this is actually a great way to go out for Mariano. But did you have the best Dr.s, rehab folks and were in truly elite condition? I think he'll be back for 2013. Also I had the Orthopaedic Surgeon for the Tampa Bay Rays do the ACL. So I'd say I had one of the best in the business. Just as Chipper was going to retire last year...........Then Chipper tore his ACL and said no way he's going out like that. He rehabbed himself - not sure of his age, but obviously he's up there, too, and I just saw him hit a walk-off homer two nights ago (he actually hit two, but the first one went juuuust foul, and then he left no doubt on the 2nd one!)
