Brady's a WUSS

I'm entertaining the idea that its quite possible that Belichick has told him not to make an effort in such situations. If I was a coach and had a player on my team as important as Brady is, I wouldn't be to keen on letting him play defense.

If he's going to keep averaging 2 picks a game he might want to consider getting Tommy in on some tackling drills!

Brady is critical to the Pats* success as most great QBs are. Probably he is not as important to the Pats* as PManning is to the Colts. But, somewhere Brady must be thinking that if he gets injured, he will get Bledsoed by Mallett and may never see the field again as a Patriot*.

Thing is Deon was a corner back Brady is a QB. A corner is a peripheral player on the defense not exactly a position of leadership. While QB is the leader of the team you have to show effort at all times and you can't simply phone a play in when you are suppose to be the leader of a team.

As much as I hate to say it, it was smart not only so as to avoid injury but because the Pats would immediately get the ball back--- at which point Brady knew he could just slice up our D like a hot knife through butter. Which is exactly what happened. No point in giving the Bills a few extra minutes of clock to kill before they punch it in from inside the 5. There were 10 minutes to go, but still--- he knew he could move the ball on us.

But he's still a prissy pants :)

This is exactly what I think runs through his head as well. "Ah, well. Just 7 points. We'll score a couple more TDs."

Not today!!!

Secretly?

I think I was screaming "somebody kill f'ing Brady" before Florence crossed the 20.

The difference between the almost right words and the right words is the difference between the lightning bug and the lightning.

Excellent elocution, Punch

Thanks, Simon--- and I was hoping Brady would get pummeled, too!

Amen! Today may have been the difference between supreme confidence and arrogance. After all, David didn't slay Goliath because Goliath knew the quality of his skill set and humbly tried to execute the playbook :D

I'm sure memories of 2003 were flashing through his head when he got flattened by the convoy escorting big Sam Adams to a TD in week one....

That's actually an excellent point. I had forgot all about him getting turfed on that return.

I think Takeo and Schobel both buried somebody but I can't remember who got who. I'm thinking Schobel stuck Brady on his back wile Takeo got the really nast shot on somebody else?

but guarantee you he lost some respect in the locker room after that pull-up.

Nonsense

The Amish Rifle would LAY THAT WOOD if anyone dared intercept him.

Not only would he, YE OLE, he DID...early in Q1, after the ball bounced off Donald Jones hands and into Kyle Arrington's...

1st-10 - NE47 - 8:58 - Ryan Fitzpatrick pass intended for Donald Jones INTERCEPTED by Kyle Arrington and returned for 27 yards. Tackled by Ryan Fitzpatrick.

That's the difference, right there, between our young, hungry, scrappy Bills that are so eager-to-win, and that* group* of aging, vainglorious has-beens* that are eager to set personal records. I guess Brady* must have been more worried about her* hair plugs than stopping a Bills score.

GO BILLSSS!!!!

19 and 0 baby!!!!! B-)

Sorry but how are you suppose to ask your teammates to tackle players after you throw an INT if you your self won't? Its about the message you send to your team. Its also about your effort in general Brady seemed disinterested in his effort not the message you should send.

Remember the last time the Patriots made the playoffs without Tom Brady? Me neither.

Hey, I LOVE that Fitz tackles and blocks and puts his head down and all that--- I LOVED it about Jim Kelly, too. I'm just saying it's well established that Tom Terrific is a fancy lad and doesn't get his hands dirty and it seems to be the accepted attitude of the entire organization that he need not make tackles. They aren't paying him all that money to make tackles, just like they aren't paying Vince Wilfork to throw touchdown passes. Also, I sure as hell love the fact that Brady looks like a well manicured pussycat, but I certainly understand why he plays that way.

If this is the case, and as I have seen others even goes as far as to suggest BB tells him to avoid contact, then why in the hell would BB play his starters into the 4th qtr of the 4th pre-season game and why does he so very often leave Marcia in the games when the Pats have a 30 point lead in the 4th qtr, and keep letting him drop back to pass? The Pats have been questioned numerous times as to why they leave Brady on the field in blowouts. Has nothing to do with him possibly getting injured as much as it has to do with the fact that he's a panty waist just like his big breasted coach.

Leaving him in late during blowouts and preseason games can certainly leave him open to a completely unnecessary injury (and it's definitely foolish and probably arrogant on Belichick's part), but asking a franchise future HoF QB to make a tackles is probably 100 times more dangerous--- considering the Pats' O can practically score at will, it's likely something that would never change the outcome of a game, but how often do we see punters make game saving tackles on long returns? Or Big Ben's tackle on Bettis' fumble near the goalline vs. Indy in the AFC Championship Game? I completely agree Marcia is a pantywaist, and I'm not specifically suggesting Belichick has ordered him to avoid tackling, but his style of play has not been an issue for the Pats' organization--- obviously.

For the record, Fitz' blue collar approach matches his physical appearance (ie, the beard) which makes him the near antithesis of Brady's 'mani-pedi' slick image. I'd rather drink a beer with Fitz than taste wine with Tom--- and I'd also rather follow Fitz into battle on Sundays, not just because I'm a Bills' fan.
