0-16 is more likely than 6-10

And second of all, no it's not. I will bet you $100 they finish with at least 4 wins right now even odds.

So you are trying to set the line at 3.5 wins and take the over at 1:1 odds?

You should seriously get banned from scamming. I have no idea what the rules are on this forum, but trying to cheat people out of real money must be some sort of violation.

I will also take that bet from anyone that wants to bet. I will bet the over with some sucker at 3.5 wins. I will then bet that same $100 on the under with a sportsbook at 5.5 wins. If they finish with 0-3 wins, it's a push for me. If they finish with 6+ wins, it's also a push for me. However, if they finish with 4-5 wins (their most likely win total), I win BOTH bets. He is just trying to freeroll on some unsuspecting user, it's a total scam.

Since the NFL started the 16-game season in 1978, only one team has ever gone 0-16, the Detroit Lions in 2008. Would like someone here who actually paid attention in Statistics class to figure the odds of a perfect losing season.

Given that the Bills:

  •
  • Won four last season, and lost many games by less than a TD, including about three OTs, including against several playoff teams...
  • Drastically improved its run defense...
  • Did nothing worse than last season with the O line, which was less than average but did not lead to doom...

Not to mention the fact that Fitz can only get better, I'd say the odds are not in your corner, jumbalaya.

My money is on:

  •
  • 7-9 with no O-line upgrade.
  • 9-7 with one.

That's not a fact and not something I'd be necessarily counting on.

Coming into camp I was hopeful for around 6 maybe 7 wins. But this team seems way to unsettled for me. 4 or 5 wins seem more likely at this point.

It takes a special kind of bad to be 0-16.

Whether Merriman can stay healthy all year is a big quesion, Nick Barnett was hurt last year and Morrision wasn't wanted by any other team. It appears that other teams trash suddenly becomes Buffalo Bills gold, at least to some fans. There was a reason why SD didn't care to keep SM, there was a reason GB didn't care to keep NB, there was a reason that the Jags didn't offer KM a contract, nor did any other team.

Lee Evans was Buffalo's #1 WR and opposing teams rolled coverages to him because he could burn them on any play. Because of Evans getting more attention from opposing defenses that left Stevie Johnson singled most of the time.

Did any of you watch the last two games of the season with the supposed good stable O line? The Jets and Patriots literally destroyed the Bills in those games. Spiller is still very suspect, the run game only has one good player atm. It won't matter because the bills will try and throw the ball 80% of the time.

Yea, I agree. The Bills could very well be scary bad this year.

:w00t:

So let's get this straight. Evans, who hasn't caught more than 44 passes or 612 yards the past 2 years is a "treasure" for the Ravens, but SM and NB (KM I'll give you, but he's just depth) are "trash" because their teams didn't want them? Okay.

SM wasn't wanted by the Chargers because he was injured a lot and his off-field antics had worn thin with AJ Smith. His health will be a concern, but his talent is undeniable. And NB wasn't wanted because the Packers were still able to win a SB without him and there was some animosity over his refusal to workout at the Packers' facility. But again, like with SM, the talent is undeniable.

The odds of the Bills going 0 and 16 are almost as astronomical as the team going 16 and 0. They are the same odds against us getting Andrew Luck next year.

Does Vegas publish odds of being the worst team in the league? I don't expect us to be the worst team this year, but I would guess Vegas has us at reasonable odds to be the worst team (maybe 15-1?) as opposed to the 150-1 of winning the Superbowl (I would guess our odds of going 16-0 would even higher than the odds of winning the super bowl.)

  • 4 weeks later...

This is a bat signal for the reactionary jumbalaya..........You were only off by two games so far. I did a man up request earlier in the week and got one guy to say he could have stated his point in a better way. Are you man enough? And no, I have not purchased my tickets to Indy yet, and I will not think the bills will beat the Pats yet. So save your 'I told you so's' if the Bills do lose this week end. You however made such a concrete, dumb statement that we all can point and laugh at your ridiculousness.

Unless of course you man up and come on here and say 'My Bad'.

Bahahaha

And here I used to be a statistics geek. Gotta love typos on the internet.

Anyways, I'm still not predicting a winning season, not until I see us succeed vs some good teams (Pats, Jets, Eagles, whomever). I certainly hope it happens though. :D
