Sorry if this has been answered but what is the rule for positional jersey numbers?

Would Dareus be able to wear his #57 while being a DL?

Don't think so, those numbers are for OL and LB, 99 would be perfect.

He is going to be #99.

He told Jim Lang and Gord Stellick this morning that's what he wants, and I believe the number is available.

I never liked the look of 99. I was hoping he would reverse his numbers and wear 75. It's so beautifully ugly.

Many longtime NFL observers consider Deacon Jones to be the best pass rusher ever…and the prototype pass rushing defensive end.

For his era, Jones made the number 75 iconic of a great pass rusher…much like Bruce did with 78.

I have heard of him, never knew he was 75. 75 is a totally bad a$$ number.

Marvin Austin is an outstanding football player…not unlike Corey Liuget who was taken at #18…Austin is a super bargain at this point.

I don't see him in the Bills plans but he's one of the top talents left.

I think he could be a good addition, jsut unlikely. NE has him graded out as a NG FWIW (see that other thread)
