I can't be confident getting Fairely, something about him just makes me hesitate. Of course, I do not know if we want to be the ones to miss out on a top level DL again. Von Miller makes me worry about character. Not that he is a bad guy but I think he may be a polarizing figure with what has been happening. I had to chose Peterson and not too happy to do so...

I wouldn't scared of Houston but I would rather focus on the DL then I would the LB's and see how that goes, especially since we are so thin there.

And same goes for round three... Getting two good rotations at DT for 3-4 and 4-3 would be nice.

Surprised people are still on the Fairley bandwagon considering the reports about how teams are starting to see how immature he really is.

Probably because everyone knows maturity and playing a sport for a living don't exactly go hand in hand.

7 Derek Hall RT or Lee Smith TE

1 Nick Fairley DE34 - Show me the Beef!

2 Justin Houston OLB34 - An NFL sized OLB

3 KJ Wright ILB - Possible tackling machine (6'4" 248, ILB hmmmm)

4 Lance Kendricks TE - Another in a long list of mid round misses at TE or maybe finally a hit.

4 Orlando Franklin RT - No Brainer, 3rd round talent in mid 4th

5 Greg McElroy QB - Wonderlic twins activate!

6 Shiloh Keo SS-If I have to pick

7 Derek Hall RT-Brains & Hard work in round 7, plus he played in all those crazy Stanford 1920s O-Line configurations so he has gotta be a utility lineman. Given injuries, good to have depth and we need special teamers

Would have like more defensive options in the later rounds. .

I gotta lean toward shoring up the defense. Coming away with a good solid Defensive End, a Defensive Tackle and a good Linebacker would help immensely and improve our record immediately. We got Waanstedt as a defensive co-ordinator and I think we are kind of obligated to give him something to work with. This means the offensive line should get strengthened in free agency.

Fairly or Miller would be OK picks. (Would prefer Fairly)

Houston or Paea would be OK picks. (Would prefer Houston)

Wright would be the only good pick

I choose Fairly as well of the three..but I lean towards either Marcell Dareus or Da'Quan Bowers if given the choice! I notice that the Poster has Fairly as a DE, but he really is a DT. I'm figuring it was a typo probably. I think Bowers has the longest sustained period of success of him, Dareus, and Fairley so I'd go with him overall if I couldn't trade down to picks between #5-9 which could be the most prudent move if a coveted player is available.

Fairley would play 3-4 DE for us (and would be fine at that position, IMO). He could move into DT if/when we run 4-3.

Fairley, Houston, Powe. Theres no way Paea will be there in the 2nd. I don't even see Houston being there in the 2nd either.

By round...

1. Cam Newton

2. Cam Heyward

3. Best OT

4. Casey Matthews

or switch 3 and 4 *shrug*

Thats a GREAT all hype draft. Good job.

Eugene Stasak, one of the DraftTek staff, put together a mock that would agree: Houston doesn't last until the Bills' 2nd rounder. In fact, Brooks Reed was taken by GB at #32, which would put him opposite Clay Matthews.
