I never saw a list like this when I went to school. How does somebody have the time and wherewithal to make up this stupid 42 page presentation? I assume that she went to Duke, she's got involved parents in her life. What can they possibly be thinking? I graduated in the stones ages in the mid-80s, but nobody would be telling people how much of a skank she is (even if she didn't mean for this to go viral). You've forgotten what it's like to be in college, haven't you? It's actually pretty clever....and funny. If a guy did the same thing about girls he nailed, everyone would just chalk it up to boys being boys. I assume that she went to Duke, she's got involved parents in her life. What can they possibly be thinking? I graduated in the stones ages in the mid-80s, but nobody would be telling people how much of a skank she is (even if she didn't mean for this to go viral). Come on, parents aren't 'involved' in the life of any kid away at college. If I had a nickle for every parent who thought their slutty daughter was a 'good girl', I could buy out Ralph Wilson and fix the Bills. In the old days when we were kids, things like this were just a lot more low-tech and didnt' get spread around the planet in a millisecond. Regarding this part, I was thinking more in terms of how can she face her parents after this. I know parents are "involved" in a college kid's life, like when they were in high school, but I'm sure they hope they did a good job.......You would think she would think "What if this got back to my parents" seeing that everything digital has that chance. I often have thought about how do porn actresses, etc. parents feel. But, I also know most of them come from effed up households anyway. But, somebody who goes to Duke - their parents most likely actually care about their kids. That was my point, and I think I worded it wrong. Is she of sound mind, at least while sober, to make decisions on her own? I would like to think if I ever have a daughter I raise her to make decisions on her own behalf with responsibility. To not understand that there are consequences with actions. If you take that to mean sex is irresponsible, I am sorry for you. If it was my sister, just like if it was my daughter, I would be glad that she can enjoy herself, laugh at herself, and experience life. I feel bad for those who fear sex, who put too much in to it (admittingly, I do not know what too much is, though) and I mostly feel sorry for people who do not understand sex. The fact that this garners 2 seconds of coverage nationally is disgusting. That this garners local news is hilarious. That it makes the internet, well, that's unfortunate. Being on the interwebs, you'd expect it juicier. I also love the clip of the woman talking about the over-sexed enviroment in the US. We're not oversexed. We're repressed. People over react to sex, asking for modesty, pretending pornography is new. Sexuality is as old as time. Also, as one woman being interviewed said something about morals. Why do my morals have to be like yours? Why must we all have the same morals. THIS is why. We want our kids to be idiots. She's not a pig, I think she's attractive. While casual, "off-the-record" remarks about women's bodies and sexual performances are common among frat guys, actual physical documentation of such remarks is most definitely not. 2. No idea, but I'm guessing that Ms. Karen Owen is a 12 credit-per-semester communications major and not some quadruple major engineering student. 3. Her parents are probably more concerned for their daughter's health than anything else: potential alcoholism, STD's, and date rape on top of the intense depression and shame that she is undoubtedly feeling right now. On top of that, they can't be too happy with her career prospects right now. Companies and grad schools tend to look down upon irresponsible and inconsiderate behavior (as well as disparaging comments about Asians). Why was she passed around? Why is she a whore? I seriously do not get it? What if she enjoys sex and wanted to hook up with these guys simply to enjoy their bodies while hers is pleasured? Wow, that people make these remarks = amazing. I am not getting too in part. If I have a son should I be proud of him for doing the same thing? More proud of him than a daughter?
