First off, must you wear your "bling" to practice or even in a game? I remember in High School we were not allowed to wear anything at all! This guy is wearing an earing to practice that is worth more than many households annual income. What a d-bag and I am glad he lost it. I just can't resist the LOLz.

Why is he douchebag? If he earned the money and wants to buy a 50,000 earring that's his business. Doesn't make him a bad person and if it's worth more than many households annual income that has nothing to do with him.

Oh well, in about 6 years he would have been pawning it for $500 anyway. It's less pathetic this way.

OK, I thought you took kind of a harsh line on players (in the Die Hard thread), but that's pretty funny right there! It is sadly true in many cases. As much money as these guys make, they either spend it all on things that depreciate and/or entrust their fortune to those who do not always have the player's best interest in mind. After they are all done earning their multiple millions of dollars, they have nothing to show for it and are found dealing drugs or something. So avoidable. But, if anything, this just proves Die Hard's point about players being human. Even though they are sports super stars, they are just human and make the same mistakes -- financial and otherwise -- that any schmo might make. However, I think the Bills even provide guidance to players in matters like this, so really they just need to listen and take advantage of these programs.

Very smart to invest in jewelry right now. Considering this is the only time he will ever make this amount of money, unless he becomes a mogul like magic johnson. This is highly unlikely considering the dude wore 50k in jewelry on the football field and is obviously a moron. Give your money to Madoff!!!!
