Help me out.

So BLZFAN will be putting the final touches on opening the inground pool for the season this weekend. I would like to put together a great list of songs (via mp3 or CD) to relax to, particularly on hot, tiki torch-lit southern nights. I'm 39 and pride myself on having an eclectic taste in music, so any genre, any time period will be acceptable, as long as you think it blends with great drinks and starlit nights.

New song, in todays "new country" that most hate, but Zach Brown Band a GREAT song for chilling with a beer called "Toes"

Toes is an amazing song, it immediately puts me in a good mood no matter what. "Highway 20 Ride" also from the Zac Brown Band is a great song too.

Cannibal Corpse - I will Kill You

I find it to be very soothing and relaxing, especially after dealing with an "idiot" during the day.

I love this beat: 2am simply stoopid.

Jean Leloup - Go Johnny Go (french but good beat)

Fame - GZA

Slightly Stoopid - Really anything by them. 2 AM is one of my favorite chill ones.

Dave Matthews Band - #41.

311 - Amber.

Incubus - Stellar.

Bob Marley and Ben Harper are always good.

Looking Glass - Brandy.

All very good. Looks like you took it right from my iPod.

2am by Slightly Stoopid is the definition of a chill song. It's a must for a summer day with a couple brews.

Here's my suggestions:

Rusted Root- Send Me On My Way

O.A.R.- Black Rock

Led Zeppelin- D'yer Mak'er

Jack Johnson, Taylor, Flake, Rodeo Clowns (w/ G. Love), Sleep Through the Static

Hepcat- No Worries

G. Love- anything from Superhero Brother

Donavon Frankenreiter- Free

Dispatch- Passerby

Dave Matthews Band- Two Step, Bartender, Grey Street

Big D and the Kids Table- Shining On, Chicago, How It Goes

Bedouin Soundclash- Walls Fall Down

The Slackers- Every Day is Sunday

State Radio- Right Me Up

Sublime- Carress Me Down, Waiting For My Ruca

Ziggy Marley- Dragonfly, Looking

311- Love Song (cover)

Man, I love these type of subjects. Good topic!

Some great songs here.

Damien Marley - Welcome to Jamrock (most of that CD actually...same title)

Sublime - Summertime

Citizen Cope - Son's Gonna Rise

Dr. Good Size - Pineapple Song (a little more upbeat, but one of my favorite "good mood" songs ever. It's from the opening montage scene in After the Sunset).

Thanks to EVERYONE who replied so far. I'm finding a lot of great music that I've never heard of before.

Killer bands. Both very pleasant surprises for the last few months.

And you can never go wrong with some Jane and Serge. Their Histoire de Melody Nelson finally got reissued. Probably too sleazy to be considered "chill," but still one of those perfect albums
