Boatdrinks
Any word on what kind of a staff this guy can put together? A HC is only as good as his assistants. If he tries to go the "Greggo Williams" route and hire inexperienced guys at the NFL level, we can expect a train wreck. If he hires a NFL caliber staff from his past contacts, we may be OK. The next several days are imperative in determining the fate of this HC and possibly the Bills.
clayboy54
No worries, old guys hire old guys. Unfortunately the first few he called this morning had already passed away. PaattMaann
we probably actually are looking at an inexperienced D-cord....I just have a gut feeling hes going to give the job to Jim Jeffcoat for his first NFL coordinator job.....hopefully he only bring him in as dline...but I just have a feeling it will be d cordinator

If anything, we'll have the opposite problem in that a few of the assistants will be people who have been in the league forever, with some having "retired" at least once before. BillsfaninSixburgh
I'll get worried if he hires Dick Jauron as his D-coordinator.

berriesandcream
He already said it wouldn't be big names and that it would be guys we likely never heard of. I believe that is almost exactly what Gailey said at the press conference. For a guy would be better suited as an offensive coordinator, its disappointing the Bills are going the cheap route with the staff as well. nobody
Of course Ralph probably won't have to pay the dead coaches any salary so maybe that might be the path they take.

The Senator
No worries, old guys hire old guys. Unfortunately the first few he called this morning had already passed away. Why the !@#$ do some folks insist on calling Gailey "old"? Guy's like 3 years older than Jim Haslett. Is it out of ignorance? Do they not realize that Gailey and Bill Belichick are 3 months apart in age? That Gailey is younger than Norv Turner, Mike Shanahan, Dick Jauron, Wade Phillips, Tom Coughlin, Marty Schottenheiemer, et al? Or are Shanahan and Belichick also 'old guys'? Capt. USABuffaloFan
How about Frank Reich OC/QB coach and either Lester or Sanders for DC? Lester has coached almost every position on defense and is a true blood Buffaloian. He was apart of alot of #1 defenses and a assistant head coach.
