Who benefits? F Putin

Because Putin is gonna invade a NATO country next! It's going on 2-1/2 years with Ukraine, who has minimal support from NATO but, by golly, Putin's going to take over Europe!

This would be a blow to Russia, especially if Armenia decides to put in for NATO

Oh yeah, the guy who wants to pull out of NATO actually supports NATO.

Again he's struggling against a non-NATO country with minimal NATO help. He thought it would take a couple weeks and it's year 3 now. Russia has no chance against NATO and he knows it.

...but they'll still be able to take on a NATO country after they're done with Ukraine, right?

Latvia's a NATO country. Good luck there. Moldova says they want permanent neutrality, but if Ukraine falls, that will likely change and NATO will admit them immediately.

To what smaller Baltic state are you referring? A NATO one?

His foreign policy was a joke and deliberately isolated us from our allies in Europe, such as his constant banter against NATO.

Speaking at a campaign rally in South Carolina, he retold the story of his alleged conversation with the head of a NATO member country that had not met its obligations. This time, though, he left out the line that drew the most outrage — encouraging Russia “to do whatever the hell they want.”

He also knew that he would capture Kyiv in three days. He wouldn’t be betting that he could beat NATO, he’d be betting that NATO wouldn’t actually come to the defense of a smaller Baltic state and risk global war.

So Russia's "peace" plan is concede all of Russia's current gains, and concede collective security via NATO as preconditions for starting negotiations? Man, it's like this plan is designed to be rejected...

Did Ukraine attack a NATO member?

Yes I do. Because he, unlike Dems, knew what Trump meant with the NATO threats.

The first sentence (plus my addition) is why there will be nothing further. As I said earlier, Putin can barely takeover a non-NATO country. Meanwhile every other country bordering his (in Europe) is a NATO country save Georgia, which may be fast-tracked.

Well, if you had your way - you would kill NATO and let Europe ROT.

Let us know when it happens. They can barely handle Ukraine without NATO support.

Even if Russia could reconstitute its army enough (after another year or so of struggling against a non-NATO country) to attempt an invasion of Latvia, yes, I would have to support sending US troops because that's what NATO is there for. And a big reason why Putin invaded Ukraine, i.e. their pursuit of NATO inclusion. Russia invaded Ukraine under Obama. He didn't under Trump. He was always going to invade Ukraine again if/when Trump left Office. You can deny it all you want. But believing he's going to invade Latvia is fear-mongering at this point. He doesn't have the ability. If he had taken Ukraine in a couple weeks like he predicted, sure, he might have tested NATO. But after the B word slapping he would have received by the full force of all those NATO countries surrounding him and would have surrendered. And if you think he's so irrational, why do you think being defeated in Ukraine would make him stop?

Conald is telling Vlad that he can launch an attack on a NATO country without facing any repercussions. Trump is once again fervently calling for more Russian interference in our 2024 election. It was NEVER a hoax.
