  1. I'm so sick of the yearly let downs, wearing rose colored glasses and hoping that they are going to be better. It's tough year after year to find positives when in reality the team is dog crap!! If I want to voice my displeasure & frustrations with the Bills, I'm more than entitled to. Being a fan for 30+ years, all the money I spent going to games, all the money I spent on the NFL Sunday Ticket, all the money I spent on Bills merchandise, all of that gives me the right to B word about this team when for 12 years, from Ralph Wilson on down has shown no committment to it's fans of putting a winning product on the field. But hey, Wilson, Brandon & Overdorff needs kool-aid drinkers like yourself to keep doing the same thing. In the 80's, once Rich Stadium stopped selling out and ticket sales were very low, that's when Ralphie finally did something to make the Bills better. Until that happens again, don't expect the Bills to be a good team again. Don't believe me, 19 winning seasons out of 51 is more than enough proof. Your kool-aid is waiting...
  2. I'd be very pissed off if someone was insulting a member of my immediate family. But did Chuck Knox, John Butler & AJ Smith insult Ralph's daughter too? So you're saying that Manning just fell into Polian's lap? Ryan Leaf was hyped up just as much as Manning was that year. San Diego picked Leaf right after the Colts picked Manning at #2, and look at how well Leaf did. Polian knows how to build a winner, he took the Bills from 2-14 to the Superbowl, the expansion Carolina Panthers to the NFC Championship, the 1-15 Colts into a playoff contender and a Superbowl winner. Everyone around here seems to think Bill Cowher was such a great coach, but look at how long it took him to win a Superbowl? More time than it took Polian to win a Superbowl in Indy. Since you don't think the Colts under Polian were that good, let's look at 3 former Bills GM's (Bill Polian, John Butler & AJ Smith) time with their teams compared to the Bills over the last ten years: Indianapolis Colts Jan. 8, 2011 AFC Wild Card N.Y. Jets 17, Indianapolis 16 Feb. 7, 2010 Super Bowl XLIV New Orleans 31, Indianapolis 17 Jan. 24, 2010 AFC Championship Indianapolis 30, N.Y. Jets 17 Jan. 16, 2010 AFC Divisional Indianapolis 20, Baltimore 3 Jan. 13, 2009 AFC Wild Card San Diego 23, Indianapolis 17 Jan. 13, 2008 AFC Divisional San Diego 28, Indianapolis 24 Feb. 4, 2007 Super Bowl XLI Indianapolis 29, Chicago 17 Jan. 21, 2007 AFC Championship game New England 34, Indianapolis 38 Jan. 13, 2007 AFC Divisional Indianapolis 15, Baltimore 6 Jan. 6, 2007 AFC Wild Card Indianapolis 23, Kansas City 8 Jan. 15, 2006 AFC Divisional Pittsburgh 21, Indianapolis 18 Jan. 16, 2005 AFC Divisional New England 20, Indianapolis 3 Jan. 9, 2005 AFC Wild Card Indianapolis 49, Denver 24 Jan. 18, 2004 AFC Championship New England 24, Indianapolis 14 Jan. 11, 2004 AFC Divisional Colts 38, Chiefs 31 Jan. 4, 2004 AFC Wild Card Colts 41, Broncos 10 Jan. 4, 2003 AFC Wild Card Jets 41, Colts 0 That's 17 playoff games, 3 AFC Championship Games, 2 Superbowl appearances and 1 Superbowl victory Now let's look at the San Diego Chargers: Jan. 17, 2010 AFC Divisional N.Y. Jets 17, San Diego 14 Jan. 11, 2009 AFC Divisional Pittsburgh 35, San Diego 24 Jan. 3, 2009 AFC Wild Card San Diego 23, Indianapolis 17 Jan. 20, 2008 AFC Championship New England 21, San Diego 12 Jan. 13, 2008 AFC Divisional San Diego 28, Indianapolis 24 Jan. 6, 2008 AFC Wild Card San Diego 17, Tennessee 6 Jan. 14, 2007 AFC Divisional New England 24, San Diego 21 Jan. 8, 2005 AFC Wild Card N.Y. Jets 20, San Diego 17 OT That's 8 playoff games and 1 AFC Championship game Now, let's look at the Bills: 0 PLAYOFF GAMES Nothing will change until the Bills have a new owner. But hey, Ralphie, Brandon & Overdorff need kool-aid drinkers like you, so have your fill, because I've had enough Bills kool-aid.
  3. Polian wanted to resign key players here in Buffalo, but Littman wouldn't give him the funds to do it. Polian has 6 trips to the Superbowl. So you're saying you wouldn't take one Superbowl victory? Really?! I’ve been trying to justify the Bills actions year after year, but I’ve finally come to a breaking point with this organization. After looking back at the past 12 years and saw all the terrible mistakes this organization has made, I can’t help being disgusted and frustrated. Every year, I spend over $300 on the NFL Sunday ticket, buy Bills merchandise and go to an occasional game when I get a chance to come up to Buffalo, and the team continually puts a terrible product on a field. Look at this from a consumer standpoint, how long would you continue to pay someone, who’s goods/services used to be good & you enjoyed, and then started putting out a bad product and hasn’t been able to correct the problems? 12 years of a bad product is more than enough. I don’t want to hear that this is Boss Hogg & Cooter’s 2nd year on the job, the problem starts at the top with Ralph Wilson. Chuck Knox didn’t want to resign with the Bills because Ralph was a meddling owner. Ralph fired Bill Polian, the man who created the Bills into a Superbowl team, because Polian was fighting with his treasurer…Hello Ralphie, you can always get a new bean counter. Look at how successful the Colts have been under Polian, 2 Superbowl appearances, 1 Superbowl victory, 10+ seasons in the playoffs, that still could have been the Bills. Next, John Butler & AJ Smith didn’t want to resign with Buffalo because of Ralph’s meddling. According to Eric Moulds, it was Ralph that made the decision to start Rob Johnson over Doug Flutie in the playoff game vs the Titans. Wrong decision at the wrong time. That decision should have been made halfway though the season, not at the end of the playoffs. What happened during that game, Johnson sucked for 58 minutes, got sacked for a safety and fumbled the ball, which gave the Titans a total of 9 points off turnovers.
  4. I would have to agree. The Bengals sucked for about 15 years, then started to turn the corner a little, then sucked again. This year, it looks like they're finally headed in the right direction.
  5. At least the Jets won a Superbowl. Wish we could say the same thing. Maybe if Ralphie wouldn't have fired Polian, we would have won a Superbowl. It was frustrating watching the Colts win a Superbowl...good job on that one Ralphie
  6. IMO, the Bills are just like the Bungals. The Bengals were a great team in the 80's, then collasped big time. Look at the Bungals Top 10 draft busts under Mike Brown: http://nkysportsworld.blogspot.com/2009/04/cincinnati-bengals-top-10-draft-busts.html A lot of those busts are comparable to the Bills draft busts over the last 12 years. David Klingler (1992 – 1st Round, 6th pick, QB from Houston); Akili Smith (1999 – 1st Round, 3rd pick, QB from Oregon) - J.P. Losman (traded back into the 1st round and gave up the following year's 1st round pick) Dan Wilkinson (1994 – 1st Round, 1st pick, DT from Ohio St.): Mike Williams - 1st round pick. (Williams played OT, but was a huge bust just like Wilkinson) Reinard Wilson (1997 – 1st Round, 14th pick, DE from Florida St.): Erik Flowers - 1st round pick John Copeland (1993 – 1st Round, 5th pick, DE from Alabama): Aaron Maybin - don't care how good he's doing in New Jersey, wrong pick for our defense
  7. I heard the same thing in the exact same way as the OP. Holmes emphasized, “You’re playing for the Buffalo Bills right now. Seriously?” with incredulity in his voice. He was offended that anyone from the Buffalo Bills would try and upstage the New York Jets’ “two NFL superstars” and he even went so far as to claim Johnson “want to be in [his and Plax’s] shoes right now”.
  8. The Bills need more players like Stevie Johnson & Fred Jackson who do step up.
  9. I started watching the Bills back when Chuck Knox was the coach. I love the Bills, but 12 years in a row is getting brutal. Yes, the Bills started off great, and yes, they got hit with an enormous amount of injuries. But with the way they're playing, I highly doubt they'll win another game this season. Every team goes through a period where they have losing records and have to rebuild, but 12 years of this is getting very old!! I'm hoping a new owner that is dedicated to winning will point the Bills in the right direction. The Bills need a owner like Terry Pegula.
  10. I can agree with that. The NFL Sunday Ticket keeps getting more expensive every year.
  11. I think frustration is really getting to me. I've watched the Bills during their miserable years of the 80's, but this seems much worse. While we can all thank Ralph Wilson for the Bills, but is he to blame for all the bad years and bad decisions? How do you fire Bill Polian, the guy who built you a Superbowl team over a treasurer? Rob Johnson over Doug Flutie when Flutie started all year long? Like Mike Ox said, I hope Chad Kelly is right and a new owner takes over next year.
  12. Buffalo Rumblings did a poll on if the Bills can win one more game this season, that is a f@!cking joke!!! To think we used to be such a proud organization, the cream-of-the-crop in the AFC during the late 80's and early 90's. Even Santonio Holmes ripped on the Bills Sunday on the CBS pre-game show when commenting on Stevie Johnson's TD celebration saying "He's playing for the Buffalo Bills..." 19 winning seasons out of 52 12 years without the playoffs Another year of watching other teams fight for a playoff spot, teams playing in the playoffs and 2 teams (other than the Bills) playing in the Superbowl. God I miss the early 90's.
  13. Finally we get one our way!! Nice work CJ!!
  14. L.A. Jaguars sounds good.
  15. I was exaggerating when I said every year, but besides last year, I think the Bills led the league in injured players 3 out of 4 years (mainly during the Jauron era).
  16. The Bills just need to quit drafting and picking up players that are in the mold of "Glass Joe". http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_pqOBRLICPOk/Rv2O7R_K1JI/AAAAAAAABfY/gfN6Fj8Ds6I/s400/PunchOut_GlassJoeAbime.jpg Why is it year after year, the Bills have the highest amount of players on IR? Coincidence or lack of a proper strength & conditioning program?
  17. I think we can put the Bills on the Soul Asylum video for "Runaway Train": "Missing since October 30, 2011: The Buffalo Bills"
  18. I'm usually optimistic about the Bills, but after the last 3 games, that optimism is gone. I honestly believe that the Bills won't win another game this season. With the enormous amount of injuries and no quality depth whatsoever, I don't see how the Bills can win another game. It's one thing when the Bills were losing close games, with some occasional blowouts last season, but the Bills have been getting blown out and manhandled the last 3 weeks in a row. I don't get why Boss Hogg & Cooter haven't signed a veteran WR (like T.O.) to come in for the rest of the season. I haven't checked to see who is available, but can't the Bills bring in some FA OLB's and DB's as well for the rest of the season. By not bringing in FA's at this point to replace the injured players, is the same throwing in the towel for the season. I don't wish injuries on anyone, but I'm glad Donald Jones is not in the line up, that guy can't catch a ball to save his life. I'm with everyone on Brad Smith. He looks so slow returning kickoffs. Everytime he lines up in the wildcat, he always runs to the left side and runs in the back of the O-linemen. Why doesn't Gailey do something more creative with the wildcat? Like having Smith throw the ball occasionally (like Fred jackson did, when he threw a TD pass to Evans a few years ago in the wildcat). I don't get why Gailey doesn't use any reverses and have Jackson & Spiller lined up in the backfield. IMO, Gailey should switch David Nelson to the #2 WR position and give Spiller a shot at the slot WR position. Spiller has the speed, plus he's a high draft pick, so why not try and get some use out of him?
  19. The Spiller pick was a luxury pick, when the Bills were not at a time to draft for luxury. I'm giving Boss Hogg & Cooter one more year. If they can't get above 8-8 next year, then it's time to do a total spring cleaning on the management & coaches. I think this is Ralph's last year as owner of the Bills. I know there's speculation that the Bills would be cheaper to sell if they have a losing a record. I honestly don't expect any management/coaching changes until a new owner is in place.
  20. This offseason, the Bills FO has a lot of work to do. Here's my list: 1. Fire George Edwards and put Dave Wannstedt in his place (don't know why this hasn't been done already) 2. Fire the current strength & conditioning coaches. The Bills have been the most snake bitten club in regards to injuries. This is getting ridiculous!!! 3. With most likely another Top 10 draft pick, the bills need to draft a REAL franchise QB. While I like Fitz, he's not a franchise QB, and has his limitations. 4. The Bills need a real #1 WR. I like Stevie Johnson, but IMO, the Bills need a better option at the #1 WR position. Johnson would be a great #2 WR (had a great year last season as a #2 WR) 5. A dominating OLB that can generate a lot of pressure on the QB. Sanchez & Romo looked like Brady & Montana against the Bills. 6. CB's. I think Aaron Williams has potential, and I like George Wilson & Jairus Byrd, but the rest of the secondary sucks!! 7. A backup Center. I know Levitre is our best O-lineman, but that was asking too much of him to play every position on the line. 8. WR depth. 9. O-line depth 10. D-line depth IMO, this is going to take another 2-3 years with Nix & Gailey's way of rebuilding.
  21. I think Gailey will start making some coaching changes, but IMO, I think Nix & Gailey's jobs are both safe. But, Gailey will be on a short leash after this season. If Gailey can't get this team turned around in 1-2 more years, he will get the boot.
