  1. Nice! I hope Wood & KW are able to come back 100% and can stay healthy. Thanks again!!
  2. You nailed it right on the head! The entire media is expecting everyone to auto-accpet this move. Your first round players are suppose to be impact players that stay on your team for around 10 years. With those picks, the Foreskins could have used them on O-linemen (which they really need) and/or other areas of need. Like you said Robbie G needs to be a first ballot HOF, because the Redskins gave up 3 draft picks, which essentially could have been 3 starters for them. Either way you look at it, the Foreskins are not going to the Superbowl anywhere in the near future, let alone the playoffs. Even if Robbie G turns out to be a good QB, this move sets them back years. If he turns out to be a bust, then this will set the Foreskins back more years than it did when the Bills traded for Bledsoe and when they traded draft picks for Loseman. I think the new Bills D-line will get 10 sacks before they exit in the 1st quarter.
  3. Thanks for the report uncle flap!! How did Kyle Williams & Marcell Dareus look out there today? Also, how did Wood look (in the limited amount of reps he got). Thanks again!
  4. I agree! IMO, if Robbie G doesn't work out, it will set the Foreskins back many years. A 2nd rounder, plus two 1st rounders is quite a lot of draft picks just for one player. On top of that, they wasted a 4th round draft pick on a QB, when they could have used that pick on the O-line or another position of need. So, we'll see how much of a genius Shanahan really is over the next few years.
  5. I'm not saying Robbie G a bust, I'm just saying if he doesn't take off running quick, he's gonna take a beating from the Bills D-line next week considering how bad the Foreskins O-line is. Remember, we had 10 sacks against them last season without Kyle Williams, Mark Anderson and Mario Williams.
  6. No problem!! It was great reading that he held the DE's in check all night, and was a road grater in the run game.
  7. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d82afdd05/article/robert-griffin-iii-still-learning-reads-at-redskins-camp?module=HP11_headline_stack "Rich Campbell of the Washington Times notes that Griffin has "taken more than a few sacks" in training camp because he takes too long holding onto the ball. This is a common occurrence for rookies who still are learning to read NFL defenses, much less rookies in their first week of training camp." With the first preseason game one week away, this is music to my ears. I'm looking forward to seeing the Bills D-line get multiple sacks on RGIII next Thursday.
  8. http://www.buffalorumblings.com/2012/8/1/3214271/wednesday-night-practice-the-prince-miller-show "Having read several pieces about how Chan Gailey is disappointed with Glenn, and having praised Glenn a lot in my Sunday report, I figured I should train my binocs on him a lot again tonight to see if I need to walk back my former assessment. Glenn did get screamed at by his coach at one point, although I couldn't figure out what he had done wrong. All I know is that when I was watching him no one got by him. Chris Kelsay, Mark Anderson and Merrman kept alternating with each other the whole evening, and Glenn held all of them off. Anderson seemed to give him the most trouble, causing him to back up and shuffle his feet quickly to stay in control, but Anderson never came close to Fitzpatrick while Glenn was on him. If that's a mediocre performance, I would love to see a good one. Glenn was also a beast in the running game. On one play he took out two defenders, holding off Merriman and then whirling to knock Kyle Williams off the field. Another run-block caused me and the guy sitting next to me to gasp in unison as Glenn pancaked Stephon Gilmore out of bounds to spring Spiller for a big gain. The other tackle who impressed tonight was Sam Young, who was up against Mario Williams and in general kept him in check except for one likely sack. There was a request after my Sunday report to check out Mark Asper and Michael Jasper. Both are playing with the threes - Jasper at right guard and Asper at center. Both essentially look lost . The practice squad seems likely for both."
  9. Thanks for the report!!
  10. I understand they run a 3-4 & we run a 4-3, the point is the Jets have one of the better defenses in the league, so why not have our starters on offense play against our starters on defense on a regular basis in practice. I'd rather have our Tackles going our against the likes of Mario Williams, Mark Anderson & a healthy Shawne Merriman everyday.
  11. I'd rather the Bills 1st string offense play against the first string defense. Over the last few years, the Bills have struggled against the Jets defense, and have been on a losing streak against them. I think going up against the first string defense daily will get the team ready for the season opener.
  12. That's great to hear. I'm puling for him & Troup to do well. I know Troup has an uphill battle with coming off of back surgery. Thanks for the update!!
  13. Thanks again Mike! How has Carrington looked so far? Anything special?
  14. Theismann's lovefest for the team is sickening!! He is basically one step away from making out with the Redskins players.
  15. I agree 100% This is the type of D-line the Bills should of had all along with playing against Brady twice a year. Glad we finally have a smart enough GM to have realized it.
  16. The Pats only beat 1 team last season with a winning record & that was the Ravens. The Ravens shot themselves in the foot twice and blew the game, otherwise it would have been a Ravens/Giants Superbowl. While Brady is getting older, he also put up the best stats of his career last season. Hate to say it, barring a major injury, Brady could play until he is 40 (maybe a little longer).
  17. I agree. I think when the Bills have a good lead in a game, is when we'll see the offense go run heavy. Otherwise, the Bills will throw a lot until that point.
  18. Another great, detailed report. While Chris Brown does a very good job of covering the Bills, your reports are the one's the Buffalo Bills should be using on their website. Thanks again for the hard work!!
  19. Thank you very much for your detailed reports & pictures, it is appreciated very much!! Keep up the great work!!!
  20. I was thrown completely off guard when I was being put on the air with John & Chris (wasn't expecting that at all). I figured I would have been put on air sometime after Chris' interview was over with. It was very cool being able to talk with both John & Chris last night.
  21. Thanks! I wasn't able to listen to the whole show, but so far, I like it a lot.
  22. I called in and didn't realize Chris Berman was coming on. I was able to ask John & Chris if Shawne Merriman has a good year, do they think the Bills will offer him a contract extension at some point, and also asked about the Bills being able to resign key players who's contracts are coming up. Chris said that Merriman could really be an X factor for the Bills this season if he can stay healthy. As far as impending free agents are concerned, Chris feels that Buddy Nix has done a great job so far with keeping key players, and feels that the impending FA's would want to stay with Buffalo as he feels the Bills are putting together something special.
  23. IMO, all of the fines & injunctions against Penn State are warranted except for the 4 year playoff ban. The NCAA is punishing the current students for the 'sins" of the past. Don't get me wrong, Paterno and anyone else that knew this sick, scum bag pedophile was raping little kids and did nothing should have their names dragged through the mud. Got this from an article on msn: "Penn State football under Paterno was built on - and thrived upon - the premise that it did things the right way. That it was not a football factory where only wins and losses determined success. Every major college football program tries to send that message, but Penn State built its brand on it. Paterno's ''Grand Experiment'' was about winning with integrity, graduating players and sending men into the world ready to succeed in life, not just football." http://msn.foxsports.com/collegefootball/story/penn-state-punishment-jerry-sandusky-sex-abuse-scandal-072312 Turns out Paterno and others didn't live by their own "code" and should be shamed and tarnished for many years to come. While it was that sick scum bag which committed these heinous acts, Paterno and others deserve all the negative press against them, because they protected their football program and this pedophile, instead of doing the right thing by protecting the victims, who happened to be little kids.
  24. You've got all valid points. Before the injuries started to rack up, the Bills were in the top half of the league in 3rd down conversions: http://www.buffalobills.com/news/article-2/8---Will-the-offense-rank-in-the-top-10/fac138e5-eda4-47e6-bcb7-ea44034e749d "However, what the offensive unit is most focused on is where they struggled. Third down conversion percentage was a problem as the Bills finished 28th in the league with just a 32.5 percent success rate. Surprisingly, some of their worst success rates on third down were in third and short situations. Buffalo ranked 28th on 3rd-and-1s in 2011 (60%) and last in the league on 3rd-and-2s and 3rd-and-3s (30.8%). As a result Buffalo struggled to sustain drives ranking 30th in 10-play drives in 2011. Of course that wasn’t helped by the fact that the Bills offense was often handed less than advantageous field position. They ranked 29th in average starting position when they got the ball back (26.2-yard line). What has Buffalo’s offense most encouraged is for half a season they were a top 10 offense last year. After their Week 8 victory over Washington in Toronto, the Bills ranked 10th in the league in offense, fifth in rushing, 13th in passing, 11th on third down conversion percentage and third in scoring." A big key to the O-line's success is Eric Wood. The comparison is night and day when Wood is in the line-up. I really hope Wood has no more major injuries, he's a fan favorite, plus he's a great player. I'm glad Nix added new players and depth across the O-line, because the Bills needed it. The big key to the offenses success (and the whole team) is can they stay healthy? If key players start going down again, like in previous seasons, then the Bills will have a hard time making the playoffs. On the other hand, if they stay healthy throughout the season, they will be contenders for the AFC East. Good feedback! Thanks!!
