  1. Hackett seems to be enamored with the back shoulder throws as we see this numerous times in every game. While I like the idea of the back shoulder throw, I feel Hackett uses it way too much as it's not as effective as it should be. To me, Hackett is not very creative as he doesn't use any reverses, trick plays, and having players high-point the ball. With Watkins being the most skilled player on offense, Hackett needs to do more to go him the ball, such as giving Watkins the ball on dump offs, screens, reverses, etc... While I liked the play where Gray caught his second pass which he took over 40 yards, Hackett should be more creative like that more often.
  2. KW looked liked retired wrestler Ox Baker giving Manziel a heart punch.
  3. I was thinking when the play happened that someone should make fun of Manziel's money sign and the fan in the Mario jersey was spot on. Someone should buy that guy a beer!
  4. What the hell did Mike Williams do to be in Marrone's doghouse?
  5. I blame missing the playoffs on Marrone and Hackett. Hackett for his terrible play calling, and Marrone for the same, plus not using Mike Williams over a struggling Robert Woods and Glass Goodwin.
  6. Sorry about the font size, it's like that from my work computer. I agree 100% with what you said. IMO, Orton is very similar to Alex Smith, a good game manager. He is inconsistent at times, but he is better than the other QB's on the roster. Considering he was signed at the end of training camp and didn't participate in the OTA's, mini camp, training camp and preseason games, I'm willing to cut him some slack as it takes time to develop chemistry with his players.
  7. There are games where he plays at a pro bowl level and games where is a beaten badly and makes complete boneheaded decisions (such as this past Sunday).
  8. And how many passes were dropped during the course of the game? Watkins, Woods, Smith, and Gragg all had catchable passes that were dropped. Granted, Orton had an off game, but then again, the play calling was horrendous. The Bills had four tries to get a first down to make it first and goal but Hackett blew it. The Bills were having success running the ball and Hackett calls for four pass plays to the end zone, instead of trying to get a first down, then have another four downs to score a TD.
  9. The Bills fared better against the Pats than the Broncos did this season. I’m not saying the Bills will beat the Broncos, but stranger things have happened. With Schwartz previously coaching in the NFC North, I feel he will have the defense ready for the Packers, problem is, the Bills have Hackett as an OC.
  10. While Orton was not perfect in the game, I felt he played well enough to win. It was obvious that Watkins was hampered by his groin injury as he wasn't the factor that he normally is during a game. Using Glass Goodwin over Mike Williams is a head scratcher, it even seems that way to Hackett as well. Seems like Marrone is upset at Williams for requesting a trade after he was benched, so he's taking it out on him. The Bills are the worst redzone team in the NFL and using Williams would help the Bills get out of the gutter in that category.
  11. Over the summer, Eric Davis on NFLAM predicted the Jets would sweep the Bills this year and looked how that turned out. LaVar Arrington is a moron as he has his “All Mammal” segment which is annoying. It seems like these clowns on the NFLN just focus on the hot teams and don’t know jack schitt about the other teams in the league.
  12. The game on Sunday was very frustrating. Not only should the Bills have won the game, they should have won by a blowout. I blame that on a bunch of reasons: dropped balls by the Bills receivers; fumbles by Brown and McKelvin; Hackett's playcalling in the redzone; and phantom calls by the refs. McKelvin keeps making head scratching moves, didn't he learn anything from the NE game years ago. Not only was it very frustrating seeing him fumble the ball deep in the Bills territory but on the final punt return of the game, he wasted 10 seconds off the clock by running backwards and tackled for no gain, giving the Bills 14 seconds on the clock...more poor decisions by this guy! The Bills need another legitmate pass catching TE as Lee Smith and Chris Gragg are not it. While Smith is a good blocker, he takes a lot of dumb penalties and is not reliable in the passing game. I don't get Hackett, the Bills had four tries to get a first down to make it first and goal but Hackett blew it. The Bills were having success running the ball and Hackett calls for four pass plays to the end zone, instead of trying to get a first down, then have another four downs to score a TD. Marrone, Hackett, and McKelvin all need to go!!!
  13. Hughes!!! Why doesn't he have a new contract already?
  14. I agree. While the Bills still are playing a little sloppy (dropped passes, overthrows, etc...), they are doing a good job of controlling the ball on offense, especially the run (looks a lot better today).
  15. EJ was going to be a project player as the Bills brass planned on having him sit behind Kolb for a while. I have no clue if Manuel will pan out, but I don't see why the Bills can't keep Orton around for a while (beyond the 2015 season).
  16. 4TD's on 10 completions is very impressive
  17. I think extending Orton (at the end of the season (if he still keeps playing good)) will give the Bills a good QB for a few years and give them more time to get a QB for the future, instead of reaching for a QB, like they did with Manuel.
  18. I posed that question in my first post of this thread, so I don't understand the argument?
