Head Coach candidate: Rex Ryan
Keukasmallies replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Rex Ryan is a buffoon of the first order. Hiring him for the Buffalo job would be a costly mistake no matter what side of the ball you think he has some expertise. Blow hard, self-aggrandizer, larger than life, never-will-be. His only chance is to hook on somewhere as a coordinator with a strong head coach to rein in Rex' actions. -
Head Coach candidate: Rex Ryan

Rex would be my "last straw" factor in terms of following the Bills. On the other hand, his hiring would make me forget a great number of other totally dumb moves made by OBD. -

Are the Pegulas in Over Their Heads?
Keukasmallies replied to jjmac's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well, I guess since there wasn't a consultant's report to review, we may never know who knew what and when...kinda' like our government, eh? The fact remains, you asked what I wanted done and I told you what I felt should have been done since day one. When it comes right down to the nitty gritty, have any of us read an "official article" about anything that has happened over the past few days? And then there's the possibility that if there was an official article from OBD most of us would be skeptical of whatever it said...given that yesterday is the best predictor of tomorrow. So to the Pegulas it's more like an electric train in the cellar than a business worthy of a 1.4 billion dollar investment? -
Hairy Reid Breaks Face... What's the real story?

My sources tell me that he was in a compromising position when the police raided the joint; harried Harry tripped over his suspenders during the get away. Result: Face plant city. -
Are the Pegulas in Over Their Heads?

Marrone appears to be but one of the several major problems in the organization. However, with the widespread dislike/suspicion of Marrone that is coming to light now, chances are a consultant just might have gotten a sense of what was to come and relayed that to his employer. At the very least a consultant would be sure that the owner at least knew that the head coach could opt out at some point with the coming of a new owner. With that knowledge, the owner could have developed a series of options if/when the opt out came to pass. -

What I want(ed) was for the Pegulas to hire a consultant on the day the purchase was official- an individual who could assess the state of affairs from a neutral vantage point then make recommendations regarding practices and personnel in the organization to the owner and then go away - his consultancy job would be finished. The owner would accept some of the recommendations, probably reject others, then hire a permanent employee as a "change agent" charged with carrying out the recommendations endorsed by the owner. Too late for most of that now.... -

How much time do you figure they'll need before they take some ahead-of-the-curve actions that promise to right the ship? Isn't the clock ticking louder and louder as the faux pas add up at OBD? -

"Mission Accomplished" Redux
Keukasmallies replied to Keukasmallies's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Actually, I think POTUS would probably be an OK guy if I'd run into him around the quad about fifteen years ago. Today, however, he is the all-time poster child for the Peter Principle. -
Two NYPD officers killed execution-style
Keukasmallies replied to \GoBillsInDallas/'s topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Incidents flagellated by the media result in a toxic brew that fuels the wing nuts around us; cop killings, rioting, looting, etc. result, then the media jumps in again to create a self-reinforcing upward spiral of chaos. (gatorman - PM me and I'll 'splain the big words to you.) -
So for years the Dem's pilloried Bush's Mission Accomplished statement; now POTUS does the same damn thing? What a maroon. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2014/12/26/obama-afghanistan-wont-be-source-terrorist-attacks-again/?intcmp=latestnews Do we need a contest to guess the date of the next terrorist attack coming out of A'stan?

New York Bans Fracking
Keukasmallies replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Let me spell this out for you: The ban on fracking in NYS is largely based on environmental concerns. The primary focus of those concerns is excessive water use as well as the disposal of the contaminated water post-frack. If/when producers develop a fracking method that uses little or no water in the process, and if prices are in a profitable range, NYS will revisit the fracking ban in a New York minute...so to speak. At least two producers are experimenting with a fracking process based on use of a pressurized gas to replace water in the oil/gas recovery process. Sheessssh, try to keep up will ya' -

And then there is the camp that applauds the ban because it will (if prices recover) drive the oil/gas producers to develop a cleaner fracking process that eliminates the dependence on water and the contaminated water disposal problems. -
See, this is what happens.... Our team implodes in the midst of our playoff hope circle and the acolytes turn on each other hoping to purge the disappointment. Step back, reflect, begin to chant the Bills mantra, "We should be better next year." Remember: There's light at the end of the tunnel. Oh wait, that's the 4:10 to Yuma.

My bid for at least one component of the retaliation against North Korea is to send Dennis Rodman there for an extended stay. -

Should the "Shout" song be played after a FG?
Keukasmallies replied to smuvtalker's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes, play it for every score. Which, unfortunately may mean we won't hear it all that often in the course of a game.... -
An undeniable case of liberal media bias.
Keukasmallies replied to Rob's House's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
If you don't watch both MSNBC and FNN regularly, it would be hard to claim you're tapping into both ends of the continuum and therefore have a balanced opinion of the media's bias or lack thereof. Just sayin'
