Ralph Wilson fine response from "just give it to 'em" game
Big Turk replied to Dablitzkrieg's topic in The Stadium Wall
Get him Ralph!! -
He likes stirring the pot to get clicks and views, and he knows the Bills fanbase will fall into the trap he set.

Arlington Cowboys, Santa Clara 49ers, Paradise Raiders, Landover Commanders, Miami Gardens Dolphins, Inglewood Rams and Chargers, Glendale Cardinals are the others.
-
But they do play in New York. At least half the teams in the NFL don't play in the city they are named for.
-
More focused...he realizes he has the talent and the physical ability to be the best QB in the NFL and cement his status as a future 1st ballot HOFer. The only thing standing in his way is himself. I think we are seeing him push himself to be greater than he already is. Part of the maturing process.

Nobody is a lock for anything this time of year. Let's see come December and then we can talk more.

I am sure Beane delegates the actual structure of the contracts to someone and whoever that someone is that comes up with this stuff is worth whatever he wants in terms of compensation in the front office.

I am not really interested in the guaranteed dollars as much as I am in the cap hits each year and the dead cap hit. Guaranteed for what? Injury or full? Most of the time those are guaranteed for injury after the main signing bonus. Either way, after 2024, Bills have until 3/17 before any guarantees for the 2025 season kick in and they can cut him for an 8.8 million dead cap hit to save almost 12 million(or designate it post 6/1 to break it into 2 years and save almost 18 million), or restructure. IMO there is zero chance he sees that 2025 contract as is with a nearly $21 million cap hit.
-
Only 24.5 million is actually guaranteed.

Cook hasn't even been released yet. They are still trying to trade him and likely will release him by the end of today if they can't. Miami is in the mix but apparently the Broncos are going to heavily pursue him as well.

They literally had a first down at the Patriots 14 yard line late in the game BECAUSE they started passing on a drive that covered 62 yards to that point...
-
Actually the Bills started opening up the passing game in that one and if Diggs catches a very catchable ball in the end zone we likely win... The game was 14-10 and the only time it was more than a 4 point lead was when the Pats score their first TD and got a 2 point conversion to make it 8-0. The Bills scored immediately after to make it 8-7. That was with a little more than 2 mins left in quarter one. It then went to 11-7, 11-10 and 14-10. I'm not sure how the game was "out of hand" with a max 4 point lead for more than 3 quarters. It's kinda crazy how people just make up whatever they need to that fits the narrative they have written in their own mind, facts be damned. The only time the Bills seemingly ran a lot last year was when the passing game was struggling, like the Bears game. Towards the end of the year they were throwing 50 yard bombs on 3rd and 1 plays.
-
Perhaps it's also a strategy to limit their production to make their next contracts lower and more affordable for the Bills? If they are playing 25% less snaps, they likely are putting up less production and that means their next contracts won't be as high as others with bigger numbers. At least theoretically.
-
So he doesn't like the Bills getting him for 2 years at cap hits less than what he would have been this year? I think it was brilliant, and the Bills have an out or restructure ability after 2 years in place.
-
Have you lost your mind, or are you just simply making stuff up out of thin air with no basis in reality? I suggest you go look at the play by play of games...if anything there are times we pass too MUCH, not too little
-
If teams want to run against us then good luck. They will find themselves down 3 scores by halftime most games.

Brilliant job by Beane... basically it's a 2 year $14.45 million dollar contract with the Bills able to save $16.35 million plus by cutting him after the 2025 season with under $6 million dead cap. Essentially Beane got him for 2 years at an Average of $7.225 on the cap versus 1 year at $10 million this year plus whatever it would have been to extend him after(or let him walk). Really Bills have an out after the 2024 season if they want it, they would save a little under $12 million on the cap and take a $8.85 million dead cap hit. Reduced his cap hit to $5 million this year and he got a $14.75 million signing bonus with $24.5 million guaranteed in total, all by 2024. Essentially Beane is giving him 2 years to show he can take his game to the next level and at that point will likely restructure it again if he does or cut him if he doesn't. No way he sees the 3rd year at a $20.75 cap hit. https://www.yahoo.com/sports/contract-details-ed-oliver-extension-142925943.html https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/ed-oliver-29044/
