  1. 5" an hour means you literally could stretch out your arm and put your hand in front of your face outside and couldn't see it. You clearly don't understand how lake effect snow bands work. Imagine you have to drive 10 minutes away to pick up your friend. Except he lives in a Lake Snow band and you don't. He will have feet of snow on the ground and when you drive into the area you won't be able to see anything, maybe not even the road in front of you. Where you live will have a dusting of snow and the sun might even be out. That's how. It's not possible to overstate how drastic differences there can be. Back in 2014 when we had 7 feet of snow in South Buffalo and the surrounding Eastern Suburbs, North Buffalo had exactly ZERO inches of snow. At 5" an hour without any wind the only thing you would be able to see is a giant wall of white in front of you.
  2. Our pizza is definitely up there with anywhere. So many local places that are great. Depends what part of the Falls...in general the areas south of I-190(aka "The 190") and out towards Deveaux are pretty nice actually. The area actually by the Falls...hell yeah...that place is a straight Ghetto.
  3. I'd have to think that game gets moved to Monday if that is the case.
  4. Dude...I went to school in the Lou for 4 years. When I say you have no idea what you will be experiencing, that's the God's honest truth. Don't do it. Basically take the worst winter Storm you've ever seen and multiply it by 3.
  5. It's not genius when you have very little time to course correct in the NFL typically if you have no idea what type of relationship you'll have with a person or how your personalities will clash. It's kind of dumb honestly. There is a reason why coaches typically hire those they are familiar with. Too much is riding on the decision to leave that much to chance.
  6. Yeah I am so jealous of my kids...they had more snow days in pre-school then I did thru my entire schooling career from K-senior in HS. We got one day off over all that time and it was because the parking lots were still jammed with snow after a blizzard ended Sunday and there was nowhere to park for Monday.
  7. I would think the rapidly changing and potential uneven temperature of the ball would cause more issues than what they are trying to prevent.
  8. Always the way. They have no concept of what this even looks like. For most it would be the worst winter weather they ever faced and where they live it would go down as a "storm of the century" that people would be talking about for the next 100 years. Here, it's just a part of life and we respect Mother Nature, stay indoors and then clean up after. They won't fly into the main airport, likely the one in Niagara Falls which should be fine.
  9. Sounds like McD is likely not the one at fault with their tension...or at least it probably had something to do about the way Daniel acts. Likely Daboll tried that with McD and it didn't work too well. https://www.yahoo.com/sports/report-giants-brian-daboll-makes-144709843.html Mahomes admitted Eric Bienemy brought a missing accountability factor this year to the offense and he was as in your face as it gets.
  10. Likely going to sit over metro Buffalo and near Northtowns overnight and much of the day tomorrow. Oh, likely way more than that... ".LONG TERM /TUESDAY NIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY/... The very active pattern will continue through the end of next week with multiple opportunities for accumulating snow including lake effect and synoptic snow. A mid level closed low will remain parked near Hudson Bay through the end of the week, a classic large scale signal for active weather in the Great Lakes with cold cyclonic flow. Tuesday night through Thursday another round of potentially heavy lake effect snow will impact areas east and northeast of Lake Erie and Lake Ontario. This is a long ways out, so plenty of uncertainty with band placement and intensity, but the overall large scale pattern looks supportive of heavy lake effect snow which may target the Buffalo Metro area and Watertown areas."
  11. Snow band shifting north and then expected to remain relatively stable over metro Buffalo and nearby northtowns for much of the overnight and day tomorrow. Not gonna be pretty Cold, high of 16, winds about 15 mph. Could be some snow showers/leftover lake bands but shouldn't be too terrible. Advantage Bills for sure.
  12. They are mostly easy to defend on offense once you figure out what they are trying to do in the game. Defensively they are porous. Bills easily could have had a similar score to the first game if they would have stopped shooting themselves in the foot.
  13. Hopefully they sign Tua to a 10 year $500 mil extension
  14. Wow...got away with an obvious hood or DPI there.
  15. It might not even last til the first snap. Effectively it would be pointless
  16. Tua looking like he usually does when his first read isn't there
  17. By far...that game wasn't as windy Get ready for another multi-foot event Tuesday night thru Thursday
  18. Increasing confidence another multi-foot lake effect storm targeting the Buffalo Metro area happens between Tuesday night and Thursday night, FYI. Longer term, looks like we get back into the upper 30s and low 40s starting week of the 23rd so it looks like just a bad week and a half or so.
  19. CTV is the broadcast station and OTA is over the air, meaning you should pick it up via antenna. Yeah, CTV is like NBC or Fox.
  20. Schopp is too addicted to fantasy sports to have time for that.
  21. That was embarrassing for the Browns. Texans likely get annihilated by Ravens next week by if rhey find a way to win that could bode well...
  22. Yeah the pressure I believe was down to 974mb for this storm which is very powerful. I think the record blizzard last year was around 959. These are not storms you want to mess with. Those type of pressures are rarely seen on land, only with tropical storms.
  23. They walk. Likely from OP. Or drive snowmobiles on trails.
