  1. Was anyone quittin', cause it was too hard hittin'?
  2. I think it means if you need to get in someone's ass because they aren't running the right route or being where they should be on a play after you've already talked about it multiple times, then that's what you need to do. It's holding someone accountable for what he needs to do on the field. I don't think I have ever seen Allen do that with anyone.
  3. Oh I was in no way talking about a pro athlete playing...I was simply responding to a person saying simple cuts were life threatening...they aren't in the vast majority of people unless there is something REALLY wrong with you. Nope, never got any of that. Honestly didn't cause any sides.
  4. I'm not sure where you got that from, but that isn't what being a CEO is about. It's more about the way you carry yourself and there is a different type of respect you command than when you are a normal employee. And about not being "one of the guys", but more of someone who is in charge.
  5. Essentially they do what many places do. They accept good because they are afraid to try for great. They know unless a miracle happens they aren't winning a championship with Tua. They might not ever even win a playoff game. He is currently propped up more than any other QB in the NFL and he still isn't able to get it done on a rookie deal. What's going to happen when he has to do the propping once they can't afford to surround him with all that talent due to him taking up huge cap dollars? In the games where teams have neutralized their scheme and disrupted timing which essentially forces Tua to beat them, he has been mostly average to abysmal. Not exactly what you want to see from a guy getting paid $53 mil a year. He should be making other teams pay in those situations but he can't because he simply is too physically limited to
  6. Haven't seen this mentioned on here. I used the search, so if it is please feel free to merge. Pegula apparently is upset that Allen has not embraced being in more of a CEO type role and instead is more of the "guy's guy" with teammates. Pegula wants Allen to be "above" teammates and the clear leader in that way as well similar to how some other QBs are...most notably like Brady probably. Pegula wants Allen to exhibit more of an "Executive Demeanor" and less of the "buddy buddy" way he is now with teammates... Assuming this is because it blurs the lines and allows others to think it's OK to get away with some things that otherwise they may not feel it would be OK to get away with? Or perhaps that they are a little more lax than they should be? Article eludes to that being part of the reason Diggs wanted out or had some issues? Either way sounds like we are likely going to be in for a new version of Allen this year if they are successful, and one where he may be holding others more accountable. https://www.buffalorumblings.com/2024/7/27/24206901/terry-pegula-urging-qb-josh-allen-to-be-a-new-kind-of-leader-for-buffalo-bills-in-2024
  7. Who knows. Depends on how he would adjust to how the QB position was played today. There is literally no way of knowing and anyone who thinks there would be is simply lying. It's a different game today...might as well be a different sport.
  8. I'll be concerned if it's still happening at the mid point of the year.
  9. Man...it's not THAT serious. I was on Eliquis for a year, my Dad is on it for life due to DVTs. We have both had small cuts here and there and it was no big deal, maybe took a little longer than normal to stop but we weren't gushing blood for hours. The one issue with Elquis tho is that even tho it is far better than Warfarin in terms of side effects and ease of use is that if you do have a SERIOUS incident like a car crash or something they have no way of reversing it currently like they do with Warfarin.
  10. My Dad is as well and I have had a blood clot due to an impending hip surgery that rendered my immobile for multiple weeks prior... Basically they put you on Eliquis and you are good to go. Not sure how that would work playing football tho since you would bruise/bleed more easily.
  11. Most of those books are not actually written by the players, they are written by ghost writers or actual writers who publish it "as told to me by player X"
  12. Dick Jauron...how the heck did that incompetent dude get a team with no offense in Chicago to a 13-3 record.
  13. People are so clueless it's astounding. And I'm sure the poster has never played sports in his life, even as a kid.
  14. TV Contracts have changed the game. But those TV contracts have only grown because the NFL is a national addiction like crack cocaine was back in the 80s.
  15. Huh? A player has to actually play in NFL games for other teams to think he is valuable. Exactly how would this happen unless Allen is injured? This makes no sense. Is this another "Madden GM Strategy" that doesn't work in the real world?
  16. Tickets aren't even close to the highest revenue source. TV contracts are and it's not even close...probably something like 10-20x what ticket revenue would be if not more. Last year every team got almost $375 million JUST from TV contract revenue. Ticket sales aren't even close to that. In other words, almost 65% of ALL revenue generated by the NFL came from TV contracts. Everything else combined including ticket sales, merchandise sales, concessions, sponsorships, etc came to 35%.
  17. Tua is good when he plays teams that go for all the nonsense and misdirection they run because it opens up big windows for him to throw into so he doesn't have to try and fit balls into tight windows which he has issues with due to lack of arm strength. What happens when he plays good defenses tho is they jam the WRs at the line, force him to come off his first read and force him to beat them with tight window throws. No surprise he usually falls on his face because you are forcing him to play to his weakness rather than his strength.
  18. Huh? I think you have no concept of how this works. The players salaries are fully covered by the money the owners get from TV contracts and other revenue sources from the league. The only thing the owners have to cough up is the signing bonuses up front. The NFL generated almost $20 BILLION in revenue last year and it's BY FAR the highest revenue generating sports league in the world. By 2028 they are expecting to be over $25 Billion and are "ahead of the pace they thought they'd be at" in regards to that happening. That means each team is getting 1/32nd of a very large portion of that. Do the math. Highly doubt any owner is going to have to call the bank for a loan anytime soon.
  19. Love. He doesn't have the physical limitations Tua has.
  20. C'mon man...who are you referring to? Cam Newton? Who injured his shoulder that derailed his career in a car accident not on the field? Keep hearing about this nonsense but who exactly are we talking about? Josh isn't a "running QB". It's just another aspect to his game. He can beat you whatever way he chooses to beat you.
  21. One less thing to worry about...one less thing to worry about...
  22. LMAO!!! Fins never winning the division now...by year 3 they will be a barely .500 team.
  23. Who cares? If Allen goes down our chances of winning a Super Bowl go to near Zero. I'd rather get a higher draft pick in all honesty than win meaningless games.
  24. Ah...that's correct...thank you. Cruyff was starring on those teams not coaching.
