  1. Punting will look something like this: On that day, Kelly went 11-16 for 165 yards and 4 TDs. No reason Allen can't have a similar day.
  2. Not to mention it has unique features that no other stadium in the NFL has that causes swirling and unpredictable winds at one of the field. Namely the stadium only has a single tunnel entrance instead of two tunnel entrances that balances out the winds, whereas the single tunnel causes uneven winds that swirl unpredictably and even blow in different directions on the field than they do on the goalpost flags. This was detailed in length in Jim Kelly's book when he talked about "The Hawk", the name for our wind.
  3. Only because Allen decided he wouldn't be happy with a nice, easy 27-10 win once they got up 17-0 and wanted a 55-0 win instead. His TO's were the only reason Miami was in the game.
  4. Latest hourly forecast for KC saying temps will be around 0 at kickoff and quickly dip to -2 by 9pm and continue getting colder as the game goes on to as low as -6 by the end of the game. Low temp expected to be -8 there now. Wind only around 13 mph so wind chill won't be too terrible but likely in the -15 to -20 range.
  5. Amateur hour. Anyone who has been in these situations knows hunter heat packs are far more effective than a piece of cardboard.
  6. Almost no player will bat a ball down on a 4th down play unless it's a Hail Mary. Benford intercepted Dak Prescott on 4th down and cost the Bills like 10 yards of field position. You act as if the Bills could go for it with Allen then halfway thru the play decide nothing is open and call timeout and punt the ball. They can't. Allen throwing it up hoping someone can make a play or getting it intercepted is far better than him taking a sack, throwing an incompletion or running and being tackled short of a first down.
  7. I don't think it will neutralize it as much as you think. Allen would has done well in windy games and even in the wind game he had decent numbers...and that was with them not reallt throwing much until the 2nd half of the game. If they want to line up big and run, put Joseph, DaQuan and Oliver in the middle with Lawson and Rousseau on the edges and run a 5-2-4
  8. This looks more like what I was expecting for Sunday with heavy lake snow expected for OP. Amounts expected likely will be in there by late tomorrow. Latest from NOAA/NWS Buffalo: "Sunday: Snow showers likely before 1pm, then snow after 1pm. The snow could be heavy at times. Widespread blowing snow. High near 23. Windy, with a west wind 29 to 32 mph, with gusts as high as 46 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%."
  9. Well sometimes they have clear guidance when the models all say the same thing and sometimes they don't so they try and wait it out as long as they can until they get better guidance. That's why you'll typically see expected snow totals increase leading up to and sometimes even during the event as they have more up to date information. Also sometimes the winds don't do what they expect them to do and end up staying over one area longer than expected which then increases the total. Right now they just have the winter storm watch out but we should get better updated expected storm totals by tomorrow night into Saturday morning.
  10. I don't think it gets that bad, as of right now it looks like this might be a 1-2' event with a few places locally higher. That could change tho with future model runs as things come more into focus. I mean the times we got 7 feet of snow, it started out expecting 6-12".
  11. That's likely for Northern Erie County. Southern Erie County has a Winter Storm Watch in effect from Saturday 1pm to Monday 7am. Does it limit Josh Allen? He might be the most effective runner on either team with these conditions.
  12. If we lose due to weather condition related reasons like a missed kick or something probably not.
  13. I don't have any of those but the heat packs work well for me no matter what I have worn
  14. Latest GFS model basically showing Lake Snows are a bullseye over OP during much of Sunday https://m.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10161088174633728&set=p.10161088174633728&type=3
  15. Wouldn't naming a minority as head coach override that considering he was already coaching the team? Or is this the NFL's way of getting more candidates interviewing experience?
  16. Hunter heat packs in your boots and gloves are a MUST. Thank me later, you'll be able to enjoy the game instead of wondering how much longer you have to endure your feet literally so cold your bones are hurting from touching the concrete.
  17. Allen threw the ball pretty well in the wind game against the Pats...the one where Little Mac only threw 3 passes.
  18. The Evil Empire is officially over.
  19. Bills 23 Steel City 9 Missed XP each for Bills and Steelers due to wind.
  20. That likely doesn't hurt much this game as Pittsburgh will rarely be throwing the ball and when they do the best defender will be The Hawk.

  22. Normal weather in mid January is around 32 degrees
  23. 4 points over 17 games is pretty much meaningless and not statistically significant. Would Cook catching an easy TD against Miami make you feel differently if they had 3 more points than last year? Now if you said the Chiefs offense scored more points last year than yeah, that would be a huge difference...496 to 371...125 points less this year. 455 to 451 is basically meaningless.
  24. Hugely overstated. Watch how much the cap goes up.
