At this point, I'm not even convinced Jauron will be fired... He may be with us for a while... But if he is fired, do we really believe Wilson is gonna go out and get an experienced, Super Bowl coach in the mold of a Bill Cowher? Based on his track record, that's highly unlikely... On top of that, assistants high on the HC interview list will be in demand this year with all the other vacancies... but you can bet that, hypothetically, Wilson will want to sign a cheap assistant who's green as a HC... If it were me, I'd heavily look into offensive-minded assistants who are cutting edge West Coast Offense schemers and can groom a QB... I believe this is the best type of offense for Trent Edwards and perfectly fits his style. A ball-control WC scheme that can keep the defense off the field... If the Bills Organization does that though, it would be a miracle... because it would mean thay are actually doing something that makes sense...

That would be excellent... Norv is no HC, but a dangerous OC... and he actually runs the ball consistently. But that would require the Bills org. to actually do something right... and they consider that a BIG no-no...

This would be the right way to go... They lose both Fowler and Preston to FA this offseason, if I'm not mistaken... and good riddance! A top center, DL, or LB should be the early draft goals... as I and a handful of others here were screaming this past April. But that would actually be the sensible move for this team... and we all know the Bills organization rarely makes sense... I fully expect a PK or S in the first round. Ya know, for the swirling winds and Cover-2 argument...

If the Bills moved out here, that would be the most depressing, ironic thing you could do to me... Finally, a team back in L.A. but its the Bills??? How cruel... I've only been to Buffalo once in my life, but it would kill me to see the city lose that team... and move to a half-interested city more intrigued with the Lakers, Dodgers, and soccer... and for the most part, not wanting to get stuck with the tab... which, for L.A. citizens, is exactly what will happen... even though they've fought it so far... Let a team who has no loyalty move to L.A.... The Rams or Raiders seem like just desserts to me... but having to stare at my all-time favorite team, recreated on the opposite side of the country??? Well, it certainly would be the Black Hole again...

I do my best to ignore this crap most of the time, but this one peeves me just a bit.... My theory is that this "prediction" is made to formula for the mainstream news.... How many regimes have you seen going into their 3rd year (or so) in charge of an NFL franchise, and you always have the random pundit declare they will be the big underdog "surprise" playoff contender! Is it just simply a statistical advantage they're going off of based on GM/HCs success going into their 3rd-4th year with a franchise? At any rate, this seems to be a typical year, to me, to say the Bills are finally gonna get over that hump... We've already heard it from a few pundits right after the draft.... Is it wrong to think the mainstream press is merely going through their typical formula... after bashing and completely ignoring Buffalo for the last 2 seasons, now a few are suddenly gonna take a "chance" on this young, budding team because "it's about time"...??? When it comes to the Buffalo Bills, the mainstream sports media completely ignores, insults or laughs at them on a usual basis... They have with this regime since it started.... Now, all of the sudden, they've slyly seen the light and deep talent that has magically appeared in Orchard Park and they want to be the ones who predicted it???? F***$%# TYPICAL!!!! I've got an idea, pundit whores!!! Go back to your usual ways of dismissing and balking at any mention of One Bills Drive and their draft "reaches" and expensive free agent indulgences!!! We'll take care of this underdog, come-outta-nowhere, Super Bowl contender thing without you leeching on at the last possible moment!!! Besides... that will make it that much SWEETER!!!!

One clue as to what the Bills will need in the 2009 draft is who is a UFA next offseason.... Obviously SLB Crowell and WR Evans are the two big ones... along with both C Fowler and backup C/G Preston... So, if a couple of these guys aren't re-signed, LB, WR, or C will be a top need... I believe they will at least sign one of either Evans or Crowell... but Preston and Fowler are most likely gone.... This should put C at or near the top of the list...

Johnson seems to have good footwork and very good hands... If he doesn't show enough the first year, the Bills probably will continue developing him on the practice squad.... He could be a fun one to watch at training camp....

What will be most interesting to see with Hardy is whether he is able to utilize his height and jump-ball ability from the beginning or not... It was an advantage in college, but the NFL is a different animal... If he can utilize his size early, he may be more successful than many rookie WRs.... My only paranoia with Hardy is that with such a large, lanky frame, the knees could be a target... Lets hope he gets even more muscle packed on those limbs.... and quickly!

I'd say that's a good crack at the roster... The competition at TE, RB and CB will be the talk of camp... Get over yourself....

Screw Belichick.... He had the damned arrogance to run scores up on teams last year at the end of games, gleefully making other coaches suffer through the final moments... and then not have to be on the field to witness his own demise... And that's not even considering the obvious warnings from Goodell over videotaping other teams signals in any way.... The word "bliss" will just scratch the surface for me the day Buffalo wins the Super Bowl... and every bad memory of past games, past heckling from others over my unyielding obsessive resilience, and constant disrespect from every media outlet, rival, or contrarian will be purged from my long-suffering soul...
