  1. Well... Jackson was definitely one of my more favorite prospects throughout this process... You just have to believe in the projection because he played something like 70% of his snaps at 4I in College and he's a linear athlete... But he's a hell of an athlete. He turned 22 this past January... The 9.78 RAS speaks for itself. Jackson is about as Billsy as it gets. Team Captain... Tall and athletic DE... I think the Bills Defense got a lot better these past two nights... It's all on paper right now, but I'm going to go ahead and tip my hat to Beane... He picked at 30, 41 and 72 and got the number 26, 30, and 48 players on my personal board... I absolutely destroyed the Bills Defense throughout the year last year. Their 3rd Down Defense gave me such agita last year during games I worried about being insufferable on Game Day threads. I went back and looked at texts I sent my Nephew complaining during games with statements like "we're SO slow on D"... "we're just not athletic enough..."...and so on... We added 9.78, 9.63, and 9.38 RAS athletes to that Defense the past 2 days... That really means something to me. And yes they are good football players. To be honest right now I can't imagine I could have been much happier with the 1st three picks in total. Nice mix...good players...outstanding athletes...good locker room fits... I like it... And I think all three have sizable upside.
  2. Interesting... Sanders is a player on the rise for sure. I'm down here so I've heard a lot about him for a while. He'll be 22 in July... He's definitely a player on the rise. 9.38 RAS... He's a handful. I can't see how this is a good thing for DeWayne Carter because I would imagine Sanders is immediately in the rotation behind Ed, and they'll play together a lot on 3rd down. I do think Sanders is a huge upgrade in that role. Sanders did play a lot off the center in college, and he was really effective in there. But I'm not sure about that in the NFL... I think the Bills still need another DT to back-up Jones. But I like Sanders, and I don't mind this pick...I especially like what he'll bring on 3rd down next to Ed. He's no-joke.

    RIP flaz

  4. Well... I talked non-stop about the Bills being too slow on Defense last year... I felt like a broken record... They just got a LOT faster at CB... He'll be 22 in August... 9.63 RAS... Tough not to like this pick... The kid is a LOT of energy on the field. He's going to make some big plays in WNY... When I watched him the main thing that stood out to me was how effortless his speed was. He looks like he's running 3/4 a lot of times and it's step for step. The next thing that stood out is what happens when he see's it in front of him and how quickly everything happens after that... It's impressive. It jumps out. There are "woah..." moments... The Bills were clearly never, ever going to Draft a CB who was iffy in zone coverage in the 1st again. His negatives are mostly around the thin frame and size. But that's why he's so fast... Good start IMHO...
  5. Football is a 100% injury sport. It all depends... When fully healthy Will Johnson plays the position of CB just about as good as any prospect coming out in a while. I'm admittedly biased as a Michigan fan. And if the knee is going to be a long-term issue then of course... But if not, he has no business being available at #30... He really is that good...
  6. Any chance somebody can get Will Johnson's knee Doc on the phone for me? Thanks!
  7. While I'm 100% (well...maybe 90%) against the Bills taking a LB before the 4th Round, I do think Schwesinger is a heck of a good prospect and definitely worthy of a 2nd Round Draft Pick...
  8. The interesting thing about this is that a couple days ago Kiper says that BOTH UCLA LB's Schwesinger and Oladejo (Edge) will go MUCH higher than anyone is predicting...He said high 2nd round for both, but I've heard hints the team at the bottom of the 1st for Schwesinger will be the Ravens because they want another solid ILB next to Roquan... I forget where I heard that though... It may have been Kiper... His team is the Ravens...
  9. Trading down could provide additional picks to help move up from 56 and 62 into what I think is the real nice area of this Draft for the Bills needs... 30-50... Also... I keep hearing this argument about all the roster spots that are locked up... Are we saying that players like Baylon Spector, Dwayne Carter, Damar Hamlin, Ja'Marcus Ingram, Dane Jackson, Cam Lewis, Buffalo Joe, Edefuan Eulofushio, and Javon Soloman are roster locks? I mean... Sure... Some, maybe even most of them, will make it. But to think we can't bring in competition to push a few of these guys is a little short sighted IMHO... I don't have any issue with 10 or more Draft picks because Christian Benford and Khalil Shakir things happen. Later round guys show up every now and again and on day one they may not be 100% ready, but coaches know for sure they are better depth than what we have and that makes the overall roster better... And probably cheaper.
  10. I'm not sure about the exact timeline Kirby... But I was pretty freaking early on Mahomes, and I said right here numerous times that he was the #1 overall prospect in that Draft... I was also early on DK Metcalf, Chris Jones (I absolutely loved him and thought he was the #1 D-lineman in that Draft), George Pickens (yes I admitted he was a crazy person), Riq Woolen, I liked Tee Higgins when the Bills traded away that pick for Diggs...had no idea Jefferson would still be there though... Oh...And I forgot... I was way ahead of most on Puka Nacua...And a few others my memory will no longer allow me to recall... Because I'm old...lol Anyway... Too be fair I've had my share of misses... The biggest being OT Greg Robinson who I thought would be an absolute beast, though I think I was pretty spot on about Clowney in that same Draft... Not taking anything away from @thebandit27... Great minds and all... But as far as Mahomes goes... Just needed to plant my flag...
  11. I'm not in favor of any trade up tbh...
  12. I'm hoping for Revel with a small trade down into the 2nd... I don't know anything more about his recovery than anyone else. I'm just hopeful. What I do know is before that injury he was the exact type of explosive athlete this team needs at CB and his play in run support is top notch... I just like everything about Revel as a prospect and how his game projects to the modern day NFL. And I know I'm assuming a lot with the recovery, but I have not heard anything negative either. He's definitely my favorite CB in this Draft. Big, athletic, great vs the run and an explosive athlete. If the knee is good, and we can get him in the 2nd, I think it's a steal.
  13. We have 10 picks... The guy I like best is ranked by almost everyone as a 4th or 5th Round pick though I think he's probably going to go by the end of Day 2... I really don't care if we Draft 9 Defensive players and only the one WR... But we need the one WR... I'm not sure why anyone assumed one hot take about wanting a speed WR meant I did not want the Defense addressed early and often in this Draft, especially because I was telling folks the Defense was not good enough right here in like week 5 last year... But anyway...
  14. I'm not saying to Draft a WR at the expense of the obvious Defensive help we need... Thornton is probably a late Day 2 prospect at best... The highest I've seen him on any board is around 120...
  15. I like it!
  16. My hottest Bills take is simple... If they don't figure out a way to get a WR in this Draft that can be a legitimate field-stretching deep threat... I riot... There are multiple options, but some of these late Day 3 guys are not among them IMHO... My preference is Dont'e Thornton mainly because the upside is just crazy high with that dude... But there are plenty of others... Just don't give me a Justin Shorter-type and tell me it's going to be fine...
  17. Rosen was the only one of that bunch I strongly disliked. More than anything I felt he had limited athletic ability, including arm strength. I remember telling folks, "he's a statue, he's going to get killed." And I did not see any leadership qualities in him at all. He came across as spoiled and entitled (to me at least). I wanted nothing to do with him and literally prayed every night the Bills would not Draft him. I really liked Baker's fire... Liked him a lot. I liked Darnold, but all those fumbles scared me a bit... I thought Jackson was definitely a good prospect though I was not sure if he would be able to grow into a quality NFL passer. And I saw JA17 as by far the most upside, but also a lot of risk. I watched all the Wyoming games I could the previous 2 years, so I was very familiar with the roller coaster already...lol... I did however say that the QB Josh reminded me the most of was John Elway...
  18. He's small-ish for sure... I do agree he's probably best suited inside, but I think he would hold up fine outside. He played mostly outside man-press in College. He's just a really good player with excellent speed and competitive nature. I think players like Parrish just find a way. In this specific scenario, coming out of those 1st 2 picks without a CB, I would be thrilled to get Parrish. But I would much rather get one of the top CB's. It's just a weird spot here.
  19. I know some may think it's a little early... But CB Jacob Parrish should definitely be in the mix here IMHO...
  20. I heard it may be more than just that. Could be just rumors...But they are leading to a lot of speculation on why he fell off this past season and played so upright. Some of the reports are saying the condition can be serious and re-occurring. I think for that reason he's going to drop well into day 3... My response to Talbot...
  21. I will lambaste Beane if he Drafts Harris...
  22. Oh my... I am definitely not a Harris at 56 fan... IMHO Royals is clearly the better pro prospect along with the fact that Harris' skill set is way too similar to Keon Coleman's... Harris also comes from that Ole Miss Offense so good luck with that 4.54 speed and those 4 routes he knows... He is the exact opposite of what the Bills need at WR... They already have Coleman and Palmer that can do what he does. I don't get it...
  23. Oh I want a legit #1 too... But I've given up on that for now. I think Palmer can get behind Defenses, but he's definitely not the kind of WR I envision. Palmer is a 4.5 guy... He ran 4.52 at Indy... I'm talking about a guy who runs in the 4.3's that teams just have to respect... That's why I'm so high on guys like Dont'e Thornton and Jaylin Noel to the Bills in this Draft. I don't really care if they will develop into 1's or even 2's... I just want that element for this Offense to push us over the edge... Or so I hope...
  24. I don't think they are a legit WR away as much as I think they are a legit field stretcher away... I think in almost every other area of receiving between Coleman, Shakir, Palmer, and Samuel they have it covered. But that one guy they can line up in certain packages that Defenses HAVE to respect deep... That is sorely missing. And that makes it way tougher on Shakir, Kincaid, and Knox as well... Plus...you have to figure a guy that can flat out fly is going to get a couple from Josh every year...
