As Bills fans...the way things seem to be going...I think we better get used to the idea of Cardale being option #1 for the 2017 season... We'll see of course...But it certainly looks to me that IF Tyrod is gone it's going to be Cardale's job to lose...

Jones was my favorite player in the 2016 Draft...I realize some folks thought he was lazy...But like y'all said, men that big are not supposed to to be that athletic...And when Jones was dialed in he was dominate at Miss St...PFF's grades on him were sky high...He should have been a top 10 pick IMHO... I was just on my FB Scouting group reading and there was a couple KC fans talking about how Jones has played up and down their line this year and really allowed them flexibility...He's SO far from just a 0, or a 1...He can play anywhere on the line and be more than effective...If he's motivated he's a destroyer...

Is it just me? Or does anyone else look at our needs, and the fact that we currently only have 6 picks, and...besides wanting to strangle Whaley... ....Realize a trade down, maybe a couple, is the best idea in 2017? I think there will be plenty there at #10 to entice teams to come up...And we need picks BAD...

I'll go out on a limb and say he'll never last that long... I'm not saying he'll go top 5 either...We'll see...But Watson has too much upside for all 32 teams to pass once and a couple to pass twice...Someone is going to take a swing...

I like McDermott...I've been in the Carolina's for the better part of the past 25 years...The Bills could do a lot worse... I like him better than Lynn at least...

There are only 32 of these jobs and someone with a backbone and true belief in his ability to lead men is going to come hard for this job...Let the crybabies go coach in San Fran...That's a good place for it...

I think all this dysfunction talk aside...The fact that Lynn may not want the job is not going to bother many Bills fans... That's not to say the guy won't be a decent HC...But seriously...I realize guys have come from nowhere in the past...John Harbaugh, Mike Tomlin, etc...Does anyone here feel Lynn gives off that kind of vibe as a candidate? If they go with Lynn I'll trust the decision and move on to the prove it portion of the process...I'm not opposed to Lynn, nor am I excited...But I'm not going to lose a wink of sleep if Anthony Lynn does not want to be the Bills HC...I think the chances of him being a one-and-done guy are greater than the chances of him being the next Harbaugh, or Tomlin...

I'm not disagreeing on the swinging deal...Mahomes cracked the 65% completions marker and anytime I see that I perk up a little...I need to watch a lot more of him... On a side note I had his dad for years in my Stratomatic baseball league...

This whole Tyrod deal reminds me of the week before the Cleveland game when I think most Bills fans knew Rex was gone...Then they thumped the worst team in the NFL, and some folks were arguing strong that Rex should return...Luckily we still had the Miami game for Rex to show us once again who he really is as HC... Tyrod's last game was arguably his best game as a Buffalo Bill...Sure if he plays like that he's worth the extension and there is absolutely no doubt about it...But does anyone want to bet on it? Forget about the injuries...They will almost always be a factor in one way or another...In Tyrod we have a player who has shown us exactly who he is over two seasons...He's been pretty consistent actually...And by no means is it all bad...But I think the very likely scenario ends up being that Tyrod gives us exactly what we have seen over these 29 games...Some real good, and some real bad...And if your goal is to win a Super Bowl do you want your highest paid player to be a QB who more than likely cannot get you there? I'm not saying it's an easy decision...I'm just saying...

Why do I get the feeling Whaley is going to push his buddy Teryl Austin big time? Not that I necessarily have a problem with it...Just feel it's the most likely scenario...

I think this Safety deal is going to be really interesting...I have it Hooker, Adams, then Peppers...But it depends what you're looking for because all three have unique strengths to their games... I realize the chances that all 3 are great is slim...But watching them individually leads me to believe you really can't go wrong with any of the three...Assuming you utilize them in order to magnify their strengths...

I'm always OK with this...More picks is pretty much always a good thing...The only risk in this case being if you miss out on the next great QB...And I'm not willing to prdict any of the 2017 QB's will be the next great guy...Though I do like a couple of them... I think you're probably right about that...

I'm not saying Watson is is perfect or anything of the sort...There are holes in his game...They are all still prospects after all until proven otherwise... But any comparison to Tyrod is ridiculous...Tyrod has been in the NFL for 6 years now...Watson is 10 times the prospect TT was coming out...Watson completed almost 300 more passes in College than Tyrod did in far less games played...He competed 10% more of his attempted passes with almost 300 more passes attempted!!!...43 more TD's to only 12 more INT's... Who cares if Tyrod is the better athlete? The Bills need the best passing QB they can get...And while Watson has been far from perfect, he's thrown it a lot in College, and thrown it with a lot of success...At least at times he has... And I have no idea how Watson will adjust to the NFL game...That's the great mystery...But considering the level of prospect both were/are coming out, if Watson improves as much as Tyrod has over his first 6 years in the NFL, he's going to be one hell of a good pro QB...

I'm pretty much on board with this line of thinking... If the QB's don't fall they will grab one of the three Safeties...The Bills don't just have a need at Safety...it's more like an emergency...And I really don't think you can go wrong with any of the three...

I hear you... And like I said I liked Winston too... If you look at Winston and Watson's final two college seasons combined...their stats are REALLY similar...I mean...It's crazy how close they are...And of course there is much more to evaluation than statistics...But still...It's weird how close they are... Which brings me to the point I was actually trying to make, but did a poor job of completing...If Winston was the clear cut #1 overall pick...Which he absolutely should have been...then I can't see how the Bills could pass on Watson if he get to #10 overall...You're gambling on greatness at the most important position in the NFL with a kid who not only has the tools, but has also come up really big in really big games...I'm not saying Watson is a lock or anything of the sort because he has some big holes in his game...Despite those holes he has consistently been a + 65% completion guy (yes including plenty of bubble screens... ) since his Freshman year...Which is the single stat I pay the closest attention to when looking at potential college QB's... So...He's far from a sure thing...But if he lands in the right spot, with the right coaching and works his ass off he could be special... The Bills need special at the QB position...Heck every team needs special...I'd take Watson at #10 and get to work on him...

I look at this interview as nothing but positive... If Pagula saw what we saw on Defense and decided it's not good enough, from a guy that promised greatness on Defense, than good for Pagula! Well done! Because it was not even close to good enough...And I'm glad we have an owner who can make these tough decisions based on the obvious... Pegs was not pulled down by the continuity talk...Poor Defense is poor Defense...And if Rex Ryan cannot provide a top 10 Defense as a HC, then why have Rex Ryan as your HC? It's really that simple...

Exactly...They're not the same...And you pointed out the differences well... I think despite his tendency to stare down receivers at times, and his struggles with zone dropping defenders, Watson will come in to the NFL as a better passer than Tyrod already is...He can make every throw...And he does... His early season film was SO iffy...I was thinking he could drop into the 2nd-3rd Round...And he's going to throw picks...He just does...But then he'll light it up when he needs to...And it seems like no moment is too big for him...For comparison purposes I really don't understand how anyone can say Jameis Winston is a better Pro prospect than Deshaun Watson...And I'm not trying to knock Winston...I liked him too...But I like Watson a little better...I really do... Watson scares me some...But the kid has elite potential...No matter how much I try to stay critical about him (and he gives you enough to criticize for sure) from a scouting standpoint I can't help but like the kid...I like enough about him that I'm totally fine with the Bills taking a chance on him at #10...Because his upside is greatness...And I don't think the Bills should pass on that possibility...
