I'm beginning to wonder just how far McD has his nose in this and how much he's dictating. I was refreshed that we got "outside the box" last night and it was a joy to watch. Wouldn't surprise me at all if McD was "forced" to have to cut the shackles. One thing becoming more and more obvious though (which I've said for years) .. McD doesn't have as much of clue as to how to get over the hump as he thinks he does. It's great that he's bull headed which is why we're always competitive, but he also bullheaded to a fault and cannot adjust quick enough. Coaches who think more cerebrally typically feed him his lunch

McGovern remarked before the season that the coaching he has received from Kromer has helped him tremendously. Mentioned just the slightest nuances and details like hand placement etc that he's learned has been critical

13 seconds (with no explanation ever given to the players), plus all of the catastrophe from last year, the offseason drama this year, and being continually told to just "trust the process" ... has worn very thin on a lot of the core players. Like constantly being 10 months pregnant with a coaching staff that doesn't know how to deliver babies lol (in my "mentally off" opinion lol). They don't trust trusting anymore because it's like an ongoing empty promise, but everyone wants to win so bad that it gets twisted because they know they're close
