As Brooks has been benched for this week's game I'd assume that the Saints will likely be in the market for a new starting QB.

New England played better this time?

Top 10 at what, missed tackles?

Oh, I definitely think the Colts are head and shoulders above everybody this year but I don't think that means they're invincible. I wouldn't be shocked to see them get beat. If I had to pick a team that I think has the best chance of doing it…I’d say it’s the Pats. The Colts might not fear them but if they got off to a slow start against the Pats (a few turnovers or allowing a few quick scores) I could just see the Colts saying, “ugh, here we go again.”
-
Why on earth would the Bills consider taking a QB or a RB? After all this time if they STILL haven't figured out what the real problems with this team are I'll end up having a heart attack on draft day.

Most of the other "elite" teams in the AFC have struggled of late. Denver lost to that "average" KC team (thought they're anything but average at home) then struggled against a pathetic Baltimore team. KC lost to a pretty average Dallas squad, SD lost to a pathetic Miami team, Pittsburgh just stopped the bleeding by beating the Bears, Jax has never impressed me. Cincy is a good team but their D is no better than NEs, in fact if they don't get a turnover they have a hard time stopping anybody. They let Baltimore put up 29 on them and Pittsburgh 31 in the past few weeks The point is that none of these other teams are playing so well as to say that any playoff team couldn’t beat them. Cincy is the only one playing consistently and then only on offense. NE has a good shot at beating any of these teams, even on the road. Will they? I have no clue but discounting them is a mistake. If NE beats the Bucs this week they’ll likely enter the playoffs with a 5-game winning streak and lots of confidence. I’d like to think that Cincy or Denver will smoke the Pats but I guess I’ve just seen too many Pats post season victories the last few years to think that their losing is automatic even with the struggles they’ve had this year.

Does anyone ever read existing thread titles?

No matter what happens this offseason half the people on the board will be convinced that the Bills are going to go 10-6 and making the playoffs. -
I wouldn't make that bet personally. While the Colts should win the AFC the way teams have been playing as of late it looks like the Pats could be the second best team in the conference. They are getting healthy and their D has played much better as of late. I don't think they'll win the AFC, but it wouldn't shock me if they did. Everyone stomped the Pats down after their pathetic start but people should know better. How a team plays in December is way more important than how a team looks in Sept/Oct.

I'll all for getting rid of Donahoe...as long as his replacement is actually more capable. Running him out of town for anybody willing to take the position isn't what I'm looking for. That's like jumping out of the boiling water and into the fire and thinking you're in better shape for making the leap.
-
I'm not sure which is easier; throwing out a former Bills player/coach as a possible HC or GM or attacking the posters that do so. I know the latter is more fun. Personally I'll sit back and wait to see who is actually available at the end of the season before throwing names out there.
-
Personally I'd rather stick with Donahoe than go with Levy as GM. Other than the fact that Levy is beloved in the Buffalo area I can think of no other reason why he'd be hired as GM. People are pissed off at having first time head coaches but somehow they're okay with a GM that has NO NFL FRONT OFFICE EXPERIENCE WHATSOEVER? Umm, okay.

Who on the Bills are you not disgusted with..

Schobel Crowell - has played pretty well and has improved noticeably Fletcher McGee Losman – Give him a decent OL and some time to adjust to the game and I think we have a quality starter at QB for years to come. Evans Moulds Moorman Lindell Clements - not worth the cash next season but isn't worth the "disgusted" label Peters - He hasn't played as well as some people think but I can't be disgusted with an undrafted FA McGahee - not having a good season but the guy has no room to run\ Really, the only places that are worthy of my disgust are the OL and DL. We could use a couple of S and perhaps an upgrade for Posey, but it's all on the lines. As much as Vincent, Milloy and Posey have struggled the team could win with any/all of them in the lineup. -
Van Miller Interviewed on Denver Radio

I'll be concerned with it the day the Bills utilize the backs and TE in the passing game and JP's completion % is still around 50%. Most QBs have a completion % of around 50 if you take away all the short dump off stuff they throw. The problem is that JP is the anti Holcomb, he doesn't throw nearly enough safe short-stuff that works as an extension of the running game and gets that completion % to around 60. Once JP learns to check down more often and the coaching staff learns to utilize the short passing game more JPs accuracy will look fine. JP has looked good since he came back up until last weekend, one bad week and people want to throw him overboard. -
One that wears headphones!

I'd like to see Doug Flutie brought in as HC, particularly since he's now worked under Belichick an can bring that same winning attitude to Buffalo. I'd like to see Phil, the guy who won my fantasy league last year as GM. For years he's shown his ability to put together a solid squad and I think he could bring the same thing to Buffalo if given a chance.

Hypothetical ? New regime in Buffalo. Top 5 Pick..
MDH replied to KOKBILLS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The fans don't have the patience that is needed for the team to draft a QB in the first round. The very fact that we're discussing other QBs, 9 starts into JP's career, is testament to that. JP played horribly yesterday, but in the 3 previous games the kid has played pretty well for a first year starter and there are still people bitching about him. -
Actually, I had a root canal a few weeks ago. It was much easier to sit through than the game yesterday.
-
Yeah, we should give up on him after what, 8 starts? And if you haven't seen improvement from him then you don't know what to look for. With the exception of today's NE game he's improved greatly. Who knows if he'll end up being a quality starter but saying he's "proven he can't play in this league" when he hasn't even played an entire season is just ridiculous.

I had put absolutely no faith in these rumors either. However, when Bradshaw was doing the Buffalo highlights after the game he kept mentioning the snow repeatedly and kept saying, "how do you like snow Jimmy?" in a suggestive way. I have no clue if there was anything said on the pre-game that had something to do with this but I found it odd. And it wasn't just one mention of it either, Bradshaw said it 3-4 times during the highlights "it sure is cold up there in Buffalo, isn't it Jimmy?"

The INT was on a 3rd and goal from the 20 yard line. The underneath WR on the left side of the field was open but JP decided to throw it to Evans in the endzone who was double covered (the DB that was covering the underneath WR pulled off and dropped into the endzone to double Evans). JP was trying to force the ball for a TD instead of settling for a FG. My main problem with this is on a 3rd and goal from the 20 why on earth is MM letting JP drop back to throw it into the endzone where the Pats had loads of DBs? A screen, a draw, anything safe to put points on the board early. The mistake was JPs for throwing the ball but I can't believe that MM would actually attempt anything other than a super safe playcall.

This just in: Flutie has an amazing arm.
-
He is pretty dumb to keep calling QB sneaks when his QB has already been dinged up.
-
I'm not talking about his day, I'm talking about that specific play.
-
If a QB gets 1 on 1 coverage on the outside deep he should put it up there and give his WR a chance to make a play. The read was right and the throw was fine. What exactly do you think Losman did incorrectly?
-
Actually that wasn't Losman's fault. He put the ball up there against 1 on 1 coverage for his WR to go up and make a play. Parrish has to get position and make a play or make sure that it's not INTed. Parrish might be the least physical player I've ever seen in my life. I'm going to guess that JP won't be putting many more up and seeing if Parrish can make a play for this team.
