The only reason it was a bad decision is because the Bills needed a TD, not a FG, to win. Assuming the Texans actually ran the ball 3 straight times (which they should have done) the Bills would have had no timeouts left. Without any TOs it's unlikely the Bills could move the ball all the way downfield and put the ball in the endzone. The punting strategy only worked because the Texans decided to throw the ball on 3rd down, thereby saving the Bills a timeout. If they had only needed a FG it would have been the correct call as 1:30+ is plenty of time to move the ball into FG range.

I agree with your basic premise but the line about the Pats is incorrect. They are currently $13.8 millon under the cap. I'm sure Tom Brady is really happy that he took a lot less money to stay in New England so they could use that cap space to sign other players....

During the Colts/Cowboy game yesterday I saw Peyton Manning sitting on the sideline alone not talking to anybody. I guess that's why they lost.

My pet peeve is when the announcers call a play a reverse when it was just an end around. I happens just about every game.

I had LT in a keeper league from 2003-2005 (sadly I could only keep him 3 years) and watched all of SD's games when they weren't playing opposite of the Bills. That OL in 2003 was not a good line, despite LT's numbers. He made many of those yards on his own kind of like Sanders had to do for much of his career.

You might be right about the second Evans TD but on the first one that was an amazing throw. JP slips on the grass, regains his footing and with a D lineman bearing down on him heaves the ball down field without being able to step all the way into the throw...and it arrives perfectly in stride. It was the best throw he made all game.

They do now but for the first few years of LT's career they were horrible.

Faulk was a great back but LT might just be the best RB I've ever seen play. He can just do it all. He's Barry Sanders with the ability to pick up short yards and catch the ball out of the backfield. There's nothing LT doesn't do and do really f'in well.

The Bills might be a better team than Houston or a few other teams but on the road there are no games that I think that they "should" win. They could win these games (as they did today) but that's different than saying "should". When a team "should" beat another team it's because they are much better than the other team. The Bills aren't much better than anyone.

I've heard this a few times today and it makes no sense to me. How on earth does anybody think that this Buffalo Bills team is good enough to say such a thing? There are simply no road games that this team "should" win. It's just the opposite; the Bills are a team that every team in the league "should" beat when the Bills come to town. In fact, there are very few teams that the Bills “should” beatm even at home. The Bills aren’t a good team so give them some credit when they do actually play well.

This win was probably the most satisfying one since opening week of the 2003 seaon when the Bills blanked the Pats.

Best and most entertaining game in years. It's the first time in forever where I was genuinely excited while watching a Bills game.

You also use both timeouts before the 2:00 min warning. They just wasted a few seconds there.

Absolutely horrible. If they needed a FG I could see punting, but they need a TD. Just inexcusable.
