  1. I think only Jaws and Dr. Z should vote for the Pro Bowl team.
  2. I can't believe I'm going to do it, but I am. I am going to defend Owens (yes, I feel dirty). Owens has had a very solid season. 77 reception, over 1k yards and 11 TDs (he leads the league in TD receptions). That's not really living off his past reputation (though I'll agree they're not as good as some of his numbers in the past). It wouldn't have been a stretch for Owens to have made the Pro Bowl.
  3. There's an outside shot I'll go to Ravens game. If the Bills win this week it will increase the chances though it would be a major hassle as I have a friend coming into town (NYC) the day before and I'd have to stick him in the car and buy him a ticket too (and then speed back to NYC for New Years Eve). Still, I might go ahead and do it.
  4. I really don't think players and coaches know that much more about the entire league. They certainly know a hell of a lot more about the players on the teams they play but they really don't have much time to concentrate on the league as a whole. I'd guess most of them only see, at most, one game on TV a week. The way the Pro-Bowl is done now is fine. Sure I don't agree with all of the selections but I don't think I would no matter how they were done.
  5. Evans certainly is getting some ink this week. If these writers had given him some props 4-5 weeks ago perahaps he'd be in the Pro Bowl. As much as I like Evans I don't think it's a giant snub that he's not in the Pro Bowl this year. There are a bunch of WRs that are crammed together with similar production and Johnson happened to be the one that got selected (Coles, Walker, Houshmanzadah are the others).
  6. For my family Christmas Eve has always been , well, Christmas Eve, not Christmas Eve Day. Are there really that many families that get together and hang out all day on Christmas Eve Day? That's what we do on Christmas Day. That being said I think the NFL would have been wise to move the games to Saturday. Speaking of the NFL and their scheduling, wtf is up with them scheduling a game at 5pm EST on Christmas Day? Are they unaware that many people enjoy a big Christmas dinner together? What was wrong with starting the game at 12-1 and then having the Monday nighter at 8? As it is I'm not going to get to see much of the early game.
  7. Nobody is talking about who is the better player, I'm talking about who had the better season. Freeney's season as been ass, plain and simple. Are you really going to argue the point? As for Schobel vs. the run, when compared to Freeney Schobel looks like Ted Washington. Freeney puts his head down and rushes up field on just about every play. Half the time he's not even aware of where the ball is.

  9. Why, Freeney hasn't had a good year at all. I know a few Colt fans and none of them are that sad that Freeney is likely gone after the year is over. He's a liability against the run and hasn't made up for it with QB pressures this year. There are lots of guys that deserve a pro bowl nod over Freeney this year.
  10. 1331 yards and 11 TDs will generally do the trick. LT, LJ and Parker, I can't think of three better AFC backs this year.
  11. From reading the other playoff posts I believe there is a better scenario in which Denver beats Cinci and all of the other above things happen. If that occurs the Bills would control their own destiny going into week 17.
  12. If anyone would know about starting an arguement, it would be you.
  13. If anyone would know something about posts that don't "ring true" it would be you.
  14. My prediction: For the second straight year Moorman will be the only Bill to make the Pro Bowl. London and Schobel will both be alternates.
  15. Somebody needs to get a better sense of humor. Perhaps someone will give you one for Christmas.
  16. The part that has won 5 straight games.
  17. I don't think the toughest part of the equation is all the teams that need to lose. The toughest part is the Bills winning out against a hot Titans team and one of the leagues best Ds in Baltimore.
  18. Peyton doesn't look like he's going to let the Colts lose tonight no matter what. He looks as focused as I've ever seen him.
  19. NS, when you have the Colts' offense is it really necessary to take those kinds of chances on special teams?
  20. Let's hope it's not by Rudi busting off big plays because Freeney doesn't pay enough attention to his run stopping duties.
  21. Well, the reason they would say they're not interested in Toronto is because that would cut into the Bills' fan base. The NFL is obviously not interested in putting a new team in Toronto with a team currently in Buffalo. They're also not interested in publicly lobbying for a current team to move to another city. That being said, I seriously doubt that if the Ralph wanted to move the Bills to Toronto the NFL would do much to dissuade him and most of the owners would probably be happy that the pain in their neck was now in a good sized market. These non-sell outs wouldn't concern me so much in terms of the Bills leaving Buffalo. The thing that would concern me in the revenue sharing that Wilson is lobbying for. If the NFL doesn't figure out a real way of sharing revenue with the small market teams the Bills won't be able to survive and a move (perhaps to Toronto) wouldn't be that far-fetched.
  22. God forbid the crew looks at the play under review instead of looking at Johnson's shoes.
  23. Guess the colts agreed.
  24. That Johnson catch wasn't a catch. Just checked it on the dvr, the ball hits the ground and moves a little bit while Chad has it pinned between his hands and leg. Colts should challange that.
  25. I usually think that these pre-game skits are pretty worthless but I had a chuckle at the above too.
