  1. Even if KC wins next week? Wouldn't that still leave open the possibility of Denver losing in week 17 and KC winning (and the Bills winning a tiebreaker between the 3)?
  2. Look at the Bills roster, minus Nate, and tell me that RG or LG is a bigger need than CB right now. I'll agree DT is, but the G spots on O (while still a need) aren't a bigger hole than CB without Nate. The Bills have no one on the roster who can step into a starting CB role right now. Of course, that could change after FA begins, but as of right now CB would be a major need. Without Nate I'd say the Bills biggest needs, in order are: DT CB G WR LB TE (though I'm starting to like Royal more and more) With the improved play of the OL one could actually argue that WR is more of a need than G.
  3. The only one over-reacting in this thread is you.
  4. You know, if Clements leaves that might actually be he best choice based on how things have shaped up the past 6 or so weeks. With no Nate I see CB being a bigger hole than OL at this point and if there are no stud DTs on the board CB wouldn't be a bad choice (obviously depending on who is available). So as much as you've harped on this it might not be an unwise selection.
  5. Who exactly DON'T talk radio show hosts make fun of? That's their M.O. and what they're paid to do. If you're getting you perspective from talk radio you're in trouble.
  6. I didn't say it was going to make a "huge" difference, but if the man is going to complain about his lack of revenue then he should be getting every penny he can out of the avenues he currently has.
  7. Sadly, his mentioning of the draft and not FA popped out at me as well. I hope I'm wrong but I don't get the feeling that this team is going to spend much money this offseason.
  8. His complaining IS doing something. It's bringing attention to an issue that the other NFL clubs keep trying to ignore. That being said I'm with you on the stadium naming rights. He should be milking every avenue possible for cash instead of naming the stadium after himself.
  9. Now you know how everybody felt about your Holcomb crusade!
  10. Only because their stadiums aren't bigger. You want it both ways. You want to complain that the Bills stadium is too big for the small community and then you want to say that the Bills have more fans going to the games than other teams. The reason for both is the big stadium. I guarantee if the Bills tarped off 7k seats next year and ended up making the playoffs people would B word that they couldn't get tickets because of the 7k being tarped off.
  11. I didn't read the responses but I read the "article". What exactly was so horrible this guy's perspective?
  12. Right now, Young is a bad passer. Stats, obviously, don't tell the entire story but a completion percentage of 51.8, a YPA of 5.94 and a QB rating of 65.9 say that his passing needs a lot of work.
  13. Then why are you posting on a Bills board the Monday after a game? If I lacked interest in something I wouldn't be making posts about it.
  14. This is one of the more bizarre posts I've ever seen. WTF?
  15. Royal is actually pretty good. The more he gets looks in the passing game the better he looks. If they'd gameplan the TE into the offense more I think he's look even better.
  16. Hah, yeah I heard Sharpe say that after the hilights of today's game. I guess VY plays D these days...
  17. I like Reed fine as a possession WR. He seems to be the guy that JP looks for on 3rd downs and his hands have been fine the past 2 years. What the Bills really need is a number 2 WR.
  18. If I'm not mistaken he's in year 3 of a 5 year deal.
  19. It might have something to do with the game being blacked out in the Buffalo area and the people who went to the game aren't home yet. But as you said, it's easier to be a hater...
  20. Ellison looks like a player everytime he steps on the field. The D has been better when Spikes and Crowell have been out and Ellison has been inserted into the starting lineup.
  21. I just don't see how the rest of the team can concentrate on the game this week with this kind of distraction. Nothing distracts players like knowing the QB position is set for the foreseeable future.
  22. NS. Dungy was brought in to fix the D while leaving the O alone. Nice job.
  23. Yeah, I don't disagree with your point. The "bend but don't break" Corey D wasn't one of my favorites either.
  24. Most people aren't pleased with the run D but at the same time they advocate keeping everybody who is currently starting on the front seven not named "Anderson." Newsflash: The Bills aren't horrible at stopping the run solely because of Tim Anderson. The LBs have trouble getting off blocks and filling the correct gaps and the DTs have trouble establishing position. Schobel does a decent job against the run but both Kelsay and Denny get blown off the ball on a regular basis. This team desperately needs a few more quality players on the front 7. The only guys on the front seven I am adamant about not replacing are Schobel and Fletcher. Everybody else can do a better job (and no, I don't mean that everybody else should go...but their jobs shouldn't be totally safe if the Bills can find an improvement). Spikes is the wild card here. He’s played better as of late but I’m not confident he can do the job long term or that he can even stay healthy.
  25. I'd say Manning is on his way to being the worst of the bunch unless he can turn it around pronto. If he continues at his present pace I'm not sure he'll last in New York past next year. The guy has loads of talent but he's as inaccurate a passer as I've seen in recent years.
