  1. Signing Mike Williams wouldn't take much cash at all and the guy has loads of talent. Perhaps being cut is the kick in the ass he needs to start working hard. Given the amount of cash it would take (that is, not much) I wouldn't be opposed to bringing in Williams. If he doesn't start working hard just cut him and move on.
  2. I normally agree with your assessment Bado but I'm going to have to disagree here. Royal has looked pretty good in the last 5 or so games and a dropped pass here or a missed foot in bounds there doesn't erase all the positive plays he's made lately. He'll never be a superstar pass catching TE but he's athletic, fast and has pretty good hands. If they involve him on the offense more I think the Bills will get the production out of the TE position that they've been missing for years.
  3. Yeah, Marv is going to have the headphones on and be involved in playcalling. That's what GMs do.
  4. Why? Because neither QB is a solid passer and both are fast, athletic QBs who make most of their plays with their legs. Why wouldn't you compare him to Vick at this stage of his career? The comparison is obvious.
  5. I agree with most of your points but this one stood out to me. I just don't believe that the Bills D comes up big on that last drive even if the Bills are up by 6 instead of 2. If it played out the same way again (which, of course, there is no guarantee) and Titans would have been faced with a 4th and 1 at the 15 or so. Instead of kicking the go ahead FG they, obviously, would have gone for it. Do you have any faith that the Bills would have come up with a stop there? I sure as hell don't. Perhaps the Bills win if he gets his other foot down but it's far from a sure thing.
  6. He played a great first half but the game was lost in the 2nd half when Vince threw very little as Henry gashed the Bills D for huge chunks of yardage.
  7. Any amount. We'll send the cash to someone to hold and when next season rolls around the winner gets the cash.
  8. Obviously Fairchild needs to learn to tackle better.
  9. Let's not just save the thread, let's lay some cash down. I'll bet you any amount of cash you like that Fairchild will be the OC next season (unless he gets promoted to a HC job somewhere). There is no way in hell the Bills voluntarily make a change this offseason considering how the O progressed from week to week, how the OL gelled and how the QB performed.
  10. They did not put the D in a "bad position" on that. The Bills were attempting to score more points before the half. Throwing the ball wasn't a "bad" decision (though I DO question lining up in the shotgun on 3rd and 1). It was the special teams that put the D in a bad position there. They allowed a big kickoff return on the next play. That being said the D should still have been able to prevent points before the half.
  11. What bad decision that Fairchild made resulted in a TD for the Titans? It's Fairchild's fault that the D allowed Vince Young to rip off a 40 yard run with 19 seconds left in the half? Yeah, sure.
  12. The Bills punted one time today. You were saying?
  13. the Titans won by ramming the ball down the Bills throats in the 4th quarter.
  14. Best game the offense has had all year long and this is Fairchild's worst game? The O put up 29 points today with no help from turnovers by the D. I'm not saying that there aren't some things to criticize but people are getting a little carried away. The D is to blame for this loss, period.
  15. How exactly is the conservative call going for it on 4th down? The conservative call is kicking it and if they miss you made the so called "correct" call. There were a few bad calls on the field today. The 3rd down call for instance. I would never claim that they were free from criticism.
  16. Everytime the Bills lose the coaches make bad calls and everytime they win they make good calls? I guess ESPN is always right when then.
  17. The playcall was not to throw the ball down field. It ended up that way because of the presure JP was under on that play. It's not a matter of having it both ways. I guarantee the play call was for nothing more than a 5-10 yard pass.
  18. You're right, they (the Bills coaches - who were actually on the field) know nothing at all about football. That's about the smartest comment I have seen on this board today. Merry Xmas
  19. So you want somebody to ask him what he thinks and when he gives an answer you're not happy with it's because he's lying? Gotcha.
  20. I'm concerned about the D. The offense came a long way this year but the D is an issue. To top it off they're poised to lose two of their best 3 players on D in Clements and Fletcher. I'm not sure how they can fix the D in one offseason.
  21. Lindell said he agreed totally with it. Next?
  22. Wrong decision by your account, not all accounts. Your account doesn't really interest me though.
  23. As much as that Royal play bothered me at the time I don't think it would have changed the outcome. Is there any doubt that on 4th and 1 with 2 minutes left the Titans would have picked up the first down and likely scored the go ahead TD (as opposed to kicking the go ahead FG)? The blame for this loss goes squarely to the D. When is the last time this unit made a stand late in the 4th quarter?
  24. I would have been pissed had he trotted Lindell out there and his kick fell 10 yards short. I knew when they started that drive that they were going to have to get inside the 20 before they had a realistic shot at a FG. I have no clue how anybody has a problem with the decision.
