  1. I don't see anybody getting worked up. I see people participating in the great internet past time of ripping a guy who said something stupid. That and porn are what keep the internet going.
  2. He's missed many more than that I just don't have the time or inclination to go search for them all. And I'm not saying he didn't have a tidbit about Rex or Darby, he likely did, but as I said, he's missed way more than he's gotten.
  3. And he has incorrectly stated numerous things. He's batting like .150 at this point. The type of batting average does not scream, "consistent source of inside knowledge."
  4. His intent, at this point, is irrelevant. If he is unable to coherently convey his thoughts in the written form then perhaps he should stay away from social media. Otherwise, be prepared for the sh*tstorm. These guys will never learn. You can not win a fight with the fans. You come off looking like a giant bag of water squirted up a vagina every time. Just stay away from it.
  5. There are also other humans on the field who are supposed to help mitigate the mistakes. Where was the back judge on the play? Why didn't he throw the flag too? He's the one with the best view of it. If he had the better view and didn't throw the flag why didn't they confer and pick up the flag?
  6. I was just writing a response very similar to this when I noticed yours. Spot on. One of the "Rex effects" is that he allows his players to speak their minds. Not a fan of this because the more I hear what is really going through a player's mind the more I realize I don't really like them.
  7. Where is the video proof you said was in the video? It was Dykstra telling a story, which isn't the same thing especially coming from Lenny. This coming from a huge Phillies fan and Dyskstra was my favorite player during that era but the guy can't be trusted. He very well could be telling the truth but he no longer gets the benefit of the doubt.
  8. Upon reflection on what it's like to be a Bills fan I could actually see the following scenerio: Bills win 6 of the next 8 with the playoffs on the line hosting the Jets. Everyone has convinved themselves the team has turned the corner and are going to roll into the playoffs and make some noise. "This team is different" will be said countless times. Of course, you all know how this ends. The Bills dont just lose but lay a complete egg and get blown off the field in embarrasing fashion.
  9. Too many high profile CBs for the Bills to get either guy in. I could see Richie, Clay and Schmidt getting close or actually getting in. Hopefully the D gets their head out of the asses and Dareus and Mario get in based on merit.
  10. You can blame the Bills and the refs. Hell, you can also throw in some credit to the Jags who made plays when they had to. No one thing "caused" the loss, but all of them together were too much.
  11. I can't get your link to load. No vid in the box when I go to the link. Edit: NM, I got it to work in Safari, wouldn't work in chrome.
  12. That fumble wasn't because he was holding the ball like a "loaf of bread." He had it tucked away fine and while he was lying in the pile a guy came up and ripped it out. The play was over and the right call was actually made. That dropped INT on the other hand....ouch.
  13. How did I ever miss this? It's classic. I want to believe it's real too, but the "urgency" that pipes in sounds like a bad edit, not like someone who was in the audience.
  14. While I agree that every play should be reviewable its impossible for everything to be reviewable. Forward progress, for instance. Once the refs blow the whislte, thats it, play over. So if they blow the whistle and a guy fumbles the ball and the other team jumps on it how can you award them the ball when the other team simply stopped at the whistle? The play was over, you cant suddenly say, no it wasnt! If they started letting teams review things like that players would not stop at the whistle and refs would quickly lose control of the game. Thats just one example, there are plenty more. So in theory you are right but in practice its more difficult than just saying everything is reviewable. Also, I hate the 2 red flag rule. How many reviews you get shouldnt be determined by the ineptitute of the officials. You should not lose a review if you throw a red flag and its overturned.
  15. Neither Whaley or Rex are going anywhere after this season. If things dont turn around after next season I can see a house cleaning but one year in I just dont see it. The Pegulas are not as frusterated as Bills fans as they arent the ones who have truely experienced this 15 year drought. They just got here I dont think they'll make rash, overemotional, decisions like most fans.
  16. I haven't read this entire thread but I'm just curious if a consensus has been reached? Is Whaley's job safe now that Cassel also sucked?
  17. Two firsts would be the down payment on Luck. How are we going to finance the rest?
  18. There was a false start on that play. The other penalty I thought was bogus was the Hughes' offsides call. He got back before the snap but they called him offsides anyway.
  19. Or this is just you projecting. Say this is what you think of Rex but to pretend your opinion is what other's likely think is a bit much.
  20. The salt in the woun was that damn red line on the screen marking where the Bills needed to get to for a FG attempt. I was mocking us as it was only about 15 yards away and the Bills couldn't pick up one damn yard.
  21. Well, yes and no. Two EJ turnovers ended up directly in points. The other one the D had a chance to make a stop but they let the Jags run right into the end zone. The team needed them to make a big stop there. They don't get a free pass because they were put in a bad spot. Coming out of the break the D let them march down field on a time eating drive to get to the 1. Sure, it's great they made the stand but the fact that the Jags ended up with 0 points had more to do with inept decision making to not kick the FG than it did with great defensive play. That drive took 1/3 of the game time remaining and should have ended in a 3 score game. And while I agree that the PI call was complete BS, they had plenty of other opportunities to make stops on that drive and they failed. The D comes up small lots and it's infuriating. The bottom line is that they were on the field for 3 of the TDs including the one in the last 3 minutes that was the difference in the game. They were supposed to carry the team and they're simply not doing it. This isn't an exoneration of EJ, he was horrid, but I don't trust the D to come up big with the game on the line. I thought today was the day they'd be dominant and they weren't even close to it. Without a consistently dominant D this team can not compete for a playoff spot.
  22. It's not over but they'll have to be markedly better from here on out to have any chance. They'll have to win a few games that they shouldn't. Not impossible but not likely. The loss today is the type of loss that crushes the competitive spirit of teams. I could see them going into the tank the next 3 games. We'll see if Rex can keep the team focused and have them playing inspired ball out of the bye.
  23. Are we going to be subjected to these fantasy "hire Schwartz" threads every week?
  24. Another question is why didn't the back judge make the call as he had the better view? And if he had the better view of the play and didn't throw the flag why didn't he say to the official who threw the flag, "I saw it and it wasn't PI, pick up the flag."
