  1. I'd be more worried about Juan Castillo than Vlad.
  2. He still looks Drew-ish this second series so far.
  3. I just saw him for the first time that last series. Big and slow, like a young Drew Bledsoe.
  4. I'm not a Philly Brown fan, but McD knows what he brings to the table in real games, same with Tolbert. They will always have an advantage over any pre-season flashes, especially in Year 1 of a coaching regime.
  5. And they haven't even played Week 1 yet. Hot takes are fun, but only when they can't blow up in your face so soon.
  6. Agreed. Last time I was happy for a scrub WR to make the Bills was Clarence "Choo Choo" Coleman, that didn't turn out very well at all.
  7. Oh noes!
  8. Interesting take on the Watkins pick. No doubt that Brandon would do anything and everything to keep his job.I've often said that Whaley got the most love from mock draft geeks because his picks matched up well with their "boards"... no big reaches. Hats off to those who correctly analyzed that he was a talent collector who was clueless about building a team. Scout, yes, but GM, in WAY over his head.
  9. As for the Bills, loved what I saw from Nate!
  10. Indiana 14, Ohio State 13 at halftime. Go Hoosiers!
  11. Meathead vs. Belichick, nice.
  12. I don't think Bob Kalsu played 3 years.
  13. Looks more like Fred Sanford's son than Lamont.
  14. Awesome! Butch Byrd next, please.
  15. He's definitely shown flashes of greatness. A few months ago, I was an advocate for keeping him & seeing if he could earn his next contract, and I was truly shocked when he was traded.... but looking at the way this is all playing out, I have no problem with him being gone. Onward and upward!
  16. Indeed. Whaley was a disaster.
  17. Which players drafted by the old regime(s) have proven without question to be stone-cold, rock solid NFL players? Looking at last year's roster, I'd say Gilmore (though some would debate that), the ancient Kyle Williams, and the usually healthy Cordy Glenn. Not a one from any of Lil Doug's boards.
  18. I think true productivity would definitely win out; unrealized (for whatever reasons) talent, not so much. When in doubt, ship it out. I do believe these moves represent a statement that has been made loud and clear throughout the organization and to the fanbase: the past is completely unacceptable, and change is here. If you really liked at least some aspects of what you saw from this team, you may be disappointed. Me, I can't remember the last time I was this excited for the future, even if this year ends up being a bust.
  19. Looking past the injuries and the future $$$, he's a Whaley guy... and he's also very much a Brandon guy.
  20. Marcus Price, decent back-up OT who always looked better than Mike "Puddinhead" Williams. DB Cliff Hicks, nice waiver-wire pick-up in the SB-era, I never cringed when he was on the field. Shane Nelson, one of the best undrafted Bills ever. Marlo Perry, I don't know why but I always liked him. Conrad Dobler, just a beast. Earl Edwards, Lucius Sanford, Charles Romes, Kurt Schulz, and of course Leon Joe.
  21. Amen. Also, it's so refreshing to see quick moves taking place to correct past mistakes. Once you have determined that a player for whatever reason is not the answer, cut your losses and move on, don't hope and pray for a miracle. It's still unbelievable that EJ stayed on this team for 4 years.
