  1. Raj if he is there but I think he moved into the top 10 this week. Any USC linebacker might be the next best choice left to us that might be Ok.
  2. Stroud and Raj in the middle will make our ends look a lot better.
  3. If Raj is there it's a no brainer. He won't be after his week at the senior bowl. He just blew everyone away.
  4. Neutral before this senior bowl week. Now I thing I like Nelson better if we go TE that high which we should not.
  5. He is in the mix started out slow in the Senior bowl practices came on strong late in the week. Should have a great game today he is one of 2-5 options at 11.
  6. With all those DL on the board no way we take a TE. I say the best pass rushing DL in the first and a TE in Round 3 or 4. There is not that much drop off. Although Pettigrew is clearly the best TE on the Board. A TE would have to be a Pro bowl lock to take him number 1 and he just is not that highly rated.
  7. A likely choice! the Bills will have a tough job getting someone decent. Jaron is a lame Duck this year.
  8. There were 3 QB's better than Daniel in the East West Game.
  9. Peppers? Suggs? This is the Buffalo Bills Brandon and Wilson ant Littman are in charge. There is only one Bills Gm who had the b_lls and he is in Indy now.
  10. I now think Ball skills are far more important than size for size's sake. The huge receiver that is a really good athlete is very rare. The key is can a receiver beat Man coverage 80% of the time or more. Moss could do it Owens could do it Fitzgerald can do it. and so can guys like Deshawn Jackson and Royal. It's great to have a huge guy with talent but when you reach you wind up with a Hardy or a Sweed. Ok maybe they will make it big some day but right now the odds on Hardy given his injury are less that 50-50.
  11. It's ironic that the most important safety device, the helmet can be so distructive. I think helmet to helmet hits should be illegal. Players neet to be taught to never lower their heads on defense or on offense. The onus should be on the defensive player to aviod helmet to helmet contact. Also Running backs and pass receivers should not be allowed to use the crown of the helmet as a weapon. There were several plays Sunday were the offensive player lowered his helmet just before impact placing his neck and spine in a direct line. Those plays need to be flagged.
  12. Bear Pacoe TE Fresno State Good down field receiver good TE and Good Blocker with some size! probably 3rd round or possible second day pick. Fresno State QB impressive too. Also liked J Dillard WR The East team had some very good OL. and a German kid on the West team looked impressive too.
  13. ' Crowell hurt and so did Digregorio hurt. We were painfully thin at LB. the zone Blitz suffered
  14. I forgot Malcom Kelly also. 3 catches before he got injured.
  15. wow misssed the best one of all!
  16. DeSean Jackson 62, 900, 2 TD Avery 53 catches, 533 y 3 TD Nelson 33 catches for 366 yards 2 td Thomas 15 catches 120 y Hardy 9 catches 87 2 TD Sweed 6 catches, 64 yds 0 It looks like the pro scouts knew what they were doing here. It this not pretty much how the order they were drafted except for Avery 1st. ? I thought that Nelson would have fit well in Buffalo but GB grabbed him first. If we look at Thomas, Hardy and Sweed as the realistic options. The bills did Ok.
  17. Draft Tek has an interesting view on this they rate players and give an additional notation. Is he a 4-3 DE or a 3-4 De-LB type of rusher. Some DE fit a 4-3 and some fit a 3-4 . I think the 4-3 is the more difficult Front 7 to put together the front 4 guys are too hard to find and always get drafted in the top 10. Then they tend to get injured a lot.
  18. The TD in grab in Jacksonville was a terrific play just what we had in mind when Hardy was drafted. Then they put it back in the playbook. I never understood it. Did teams start to Double Hardy? no. The play in not that sophisticated It's just a timing pattern The only way the D stops it is to smother the receiver or stop the WR from getting off the line. Or the WR drops the ball. Or if the rush is so fierce the QB misfires. Most of the time you get a TD or draw a flag for holding or interference. If the D doubles the WR over and under then someone else is likely open. i don't think the play was called more than 3 times the whole season. One went for a TD. Another time Edwards underthrew it and Hardy did not come back for the ball. ????
  19. The last time I remember signing an over the hill receiver it was some guy named Lofton. Boy did he suck.
  20. No thanks some kind of a learning problem and unorthodox throwing style. Last two games not good. Love UB but defense was not strong in 08. I would rather have Willy he looks more ready for the pro game.
  21. Pass rusher end of story. Don't even think about anyting else.
