  1. Sums it up for me! I only wanted him on a multi year basis with lots of incentives and an uncomfortable base salary.
  2. I agree with this post. If the price is a number one then Turner stays in SD. End of story... move on.
  3. You could be right about the Turner meetings. If San Diego does not move him prior or during the Draft, they could have a serious problem in their locker room.
  4. I think that draft day trades like this one are tougher than they look like on the surface. Turner might be mentally out of San Diego already. He and his agent have been remarkably silent on this. If San Diego does not do a deal on draft day. It will cost him multiple millions in contract value. His Trade value and contract value are never going to be higher than prior to draft day. A draft day trade leaves no time to negotiate a contract with Turner and no one is going to trade for him and then try to sign him. Any deal has to be done before draft day so that a contract can be in place. If not in the next week or two then a deal is not going to happen. Any value that he has to San Diego during a superbowl run might be negated by the bitterness he would have about losing millions of dollars.
  5. I agree Turner stays in San Diego. The Market for slightly used running backs is very well established. It's not a number a # 1. Michael Turner is a very good running back but he has not proven that he is a top ten running back. Next year he is a year older. The market value of a contract that he will be able to negotiate will be substantially lower than it is today.
  6. Marv and Ralph are way too smart to be influenced by a shill who is a sorry excuse for a sportswriter. They will do the right thing. If we get Turner it will be a fair price.
  7. Translation. No one has offered SD wants for Turner. The newspaper story is an sign of weakness not strength. The clock is ticking for San Diego. As far as the Bills are concerned it's not like we are one player away from the superbowl. We have lots of options with our number one pick that will make our team better. We don't need to spend the 12th pick on Turner. Pressure is all on San Diego. Turner is like a gallon of milk on the shelf that they need to sell before it goes sour. April 30th that Gallon of milk goes on sale.
