He doesn't have to be. We just need opposing defenses to have to respect the outside/deep parts of the field. Gabe was always able to separate, we do not have a threat of that now. We need the middle of the field opened up so Kincaid and Shakir can eat. After seeing him in person, yes, he sucks. He's big and slow but plays small and slow. He's a body catcher and his body language is awful. Swing and a miss.

I'm torn, something is definitely "off". The word malaise was used up thread and that feels accurate. The lack of WR talent on the outside is killing us and it feels like they are trying to work it out with no breakthrough yet. I also think the perception that the Pats* have somehow rocketed past us is not right. We played terrible and honestly had them if not for a few miracle plays by Maye. He's going to be a good one but he's not king of the mountain yet. Hopefully we can figure it out and get hot late. It would be a massive letdown to go out early or worse not get in at all. I wouldn't be surprised either way I guess.

We're rolling in from Greenville, NC Saturday night. Going to hit STK for dinner and Tavern Sunday am. Part of me feels bad that their first game wont be in OP but it is what it is. I'm expecting a lot of red, white and blue.

I will be there with my wife and 3 of my kids, the first Bills game for all 3 of them. Hopefully the boys can right the ship coming out of the bye. When we booked this one it felt like an automatic W, we shall see.
