  1. Better Larry David...Larry David or Jon Hamm? They obviously picked the most possible opposite guy to simulate Larry and it was amazing.
  2. Well, I had tickets to Albany. Time to make new plans.
  3. OK, cool, he has a job a lot of people would like to have. I will now value his opinion more than anyone else on the planet including our scouting and coaching staff. Do you happen to have links to past draft evaluations? Current projections mean nothing, it would be fun to see his thoughts now, several years later. Everybody has their hits and misses. I'm sure he has late round guys he was right on, and others he was way off. Not a criticism of him, but that's the business.
  4. "the media" just stop. OK, you really like Joe Marino. Nowhere did I say he isn't good at what he does, but there are literally hundreds of people doing what he does. i think it's awesome there are people who dedicate their time to doing stuff like this, but it doesnt actually mean anything. If the guy was that good and was nailing every single evaluation, he would work for a team. he makes educated guesses on guys. it's weird how hard you want to go to bat for the guy.
  5. No, I don't listen to his, or any other podcast. So tell me what teams he worked for to build his resume that should bowl me over? Or is running your own guessing website and podcast supposed to wow me?
  6. so, a podcaster knows this, but the coach and GM do not?
  7. Comp pick formula only factors in players who play out their deals. Norman was cut and thus does not count in the formula. We could also sign any number of guys who were cut and it doesn't factor in.
  8. I agree that it is smart strategy. You cannot fill all your holes in one offseason via the draft. Filling in with cheap-ish vets allows them to focus elsewhere for another year until the value matches up.
  9. I don't know that this move would prevent Johnson from coming back. But i think Johnson's play last year will get him a multi year deal somewhere.
  10. Wallace will cost the Bills virtually 0 to bring back as a ERFA. He will be a Bill this year.
  11. i'm not saying he is going to come to Buffalo and have it be 2015 all over again, but it is pretty widely known that moving to a man to man system was the biggest factor in his drop off. he isn't going to be asked to do that any more. low risk move IMO.
  12. 1 yr 6 mil per Mike Garafolo
  13. This team still has holes. Perhaps they can be filled via Free Agency, but Beane has stated he does not expect to spend big. While the Bills are in their "rookie contract" window, they still appear to want to set the team up for long term success. To just throw away picks to target specific players/positions seems to go against that.
  14. "Fan whipping boy" and "main culprit" are 2 different things. People who watch All 22 would tell you one of these is correct, and shockingly it's not the fans.
  15. I won't argue with your evaluation of Beane. He has hit on a high number (not all) of his picks, including some gems late. (though Milano was before he got here, but I know what you're saying) Thus why I would like him to make MORE picks, not less. I understand 9 rookies likely would not make this roster, but 4th, 5th, 6th rounders make teams and contribute. I just think it is smart strategy to try and hoard as many 2nd and 3rds as humanly possible.
  16. I don't think I know more than anybody. I just watch 32 teams try and field competitive teams, and a lot of them suck at it. Why do some suck? Because they think they know what makes a player great , when in reality it's a crap shoot. I'm just not a fan of trade ups. You're giving up lottery tickets for a shot at a guy YOU think is great. But GM's and scouts are wrong every single day. How many of those QB's traded up for worked out, and how many busted? I understand QB is the most important position in sports, but while GM's have an incredible amount of knowledge and do incredible work to get it right, get it wrong all the time. That's all I'm trying to say.
  17. Where did I say they would be starting instead of Josh Allen?
  18. Josh Allen trade cost them a starting LT and 2 2nd round picks. Edmunds trade cost them the 1st pick of the 3rd round Zay Jones trade cost them a 3rd 5
  19. I want them to trade down every year because I am a giant nerd. The idea that elite talents are only found in the top 15 or so picks has been disproven so much, people need to get that crap out of their heads. All Pro's come from every round. Picks are lottery tickets, and the more you have, the better your odds. I like McBeane a lot. And while I like Dawkins, Allen, Edmunds, Ford, Knox, they cost about 5 starters worth of picks to trade up for...
  20. Stop living in the past, man
  21. Yep. Jimbo, Hunter, Bledsoe, and would have been my dad's 67th yesterday.
  22. this has a legit chance to happen IMO
  23. I don't see why the Cards would cut him. It would cost them 2 million MORE to cut him than keep him
  24. I just don't see them going WR in the 1st no matter how much the fans scream. It's the deepest position in the draft. They're going DL again, IMO
  25. Depth on the D-Line is already a concern. If Shaq and JPhillips want big money, I doubt they'd cut Murphy. Star is not getting cut this offseason. 1 more year before it would be worth it.
