  1. Because nothing will expose a fake crisis quite like a real crisis will. By the way, the "His Majesty" kid was mentioned in the PC/snowflake thread a couple months ago. I still get a chuckle out of that one as well.
  2. Either Tom is right and you're trolling, or you are one hell of a pathetic human being.
  3. Dude, really? Really?
  4. I believe this is exactly correct. The importance of gender fluidity tends to wither under the weight and magnitude of something like childhood cancer.
  5. Would it be fair to say then that it was Hitler's experience with mustard gas poisoning that led him to approach battlefield tactics differently? It's funny how that style of mustache faded from western culture after Hitler. The only people I can think of that could wear one after that were people who were already known to wear one: Charlie Chaplin and Oliver Hardy.
  6. What's not to understand? That's simply the most ignorant, racist, misguided thing that I've read in a very long time, and the kicker is that the article makes a strong case for tying progressivism to racism.
  7. I thought so - I assumed that it was his experience getting gassed in the trenches that led to his disdain for that style of warfare, and thus the inspiration for the blitzkrieg. But if there was anyone whose WWII book pages might be stuck together....
  8. You know a lot more about WWII than I do, but as I understand it Hitler was vehemently opposed to deploying any kind of chemical weapons in the battlefield.
  9. Either that, or that he's slept with one.
  10. So nuts weren't good enough - Ben and Jerry's is adding flakes to their ice cream now?
  11. Lockstep? You mean like when they unanimously passed the AHCA?
  12. Not to worry - they'll be out in the real world soon. That's when the fun will begin.
  13. As has already been mentioned, Hector had several appearances last season. You can expect to see Gus in the next episode.
  14. I always thought that the name "Josh Earnest", as a presidential press secretary, sounded like a character from a political satire.
  15. The only tequila I drink is Sauza Conmemorativo, double shots in a rocks glass. Straight - no chill, no rocks, no salt or lime. https://www.sauzatequila.com/product/sauza-conmemorativo-anejo
  16. They have those in Madrid, except that they're not separate from the regular escalators - you just push the cart on ahead of you and the escalator grips it. My wife thought it was funny that I had never seen anything like that before.
  17. Oh, it can definitely be improved. In terms of immediate application in an actual restaurant, you'd need to have at least three of them operating at peak hours or customers will just walk out.
  18. That was just a matter of time, but if that's the speed at which it operates it's way too slow to use during a lunch or dinner rush.
  19. That article is absolutely overflowing with stupid. They're simply training people to fail in the real world. How is it culturally disrespectful to expect people to show up on time, yet it's not directly disrespectful toward those that are on time and waiting? Those people were not called protesters, they were called radicals, and those that were not captured and jailed lived for years as fugitives.
  20. Yep, because if you're against a minimum wage then you're obviously against speed limits. Who could possibly argue with that?
  21. No. For starters, even a $15 minimum wage will not afford anybody health insurance, nor will it pay rent on anything above a hovel. A minimum wage will not act as a disincentive to crime either. Do you really think that people resort to crime because they have bills to pay?
