  1. No argument here.
  2. Those might just be the most fascist anti-fascists I've read about so far. Do they even know what a fascist is?
  3. The cultural impact of boobs relating to the natural v unnatural social dichotomy in perceived v actual gender roles and subsequent ramifications, as comparatively studied between the states of Maryland and Texas. The FCC could easily play a role as far as the study's data transference is concerned, but we could also tap another one or two agencies to support the actual field work. Or more appropriately, "feeled work".
  4. Thanks for the clarification. I don't necessarily disagree, but I do suspect that the need for employees with at least an associate's level tech degree will increase with the evolution of robotics and tech into various industries. That could provide an opportunity for more people to get themselves into a potentially lucrative career path with only a 2-year community college program, or in some cases, vocation-based high school training.
  5. I give them credit though - I wouldn't mind receiving some grant money to study boobs.
  6. But to be fair, it's completely understandable that he'd be freaking people out with some of his campaign promises. I remember thinking after he won the nomination that I hoped much of what he was saying was rhetoric from an extreme point of view given purposely in order for him to soften later as a compromise. It seems that lots of people want more compromise out of Washington, but not so many understand that compromise requires negotiation.
  7. Hope it's a good one - Cheers!
  8. The Empire is pleased to announce the destruction of the notorious rebel Rusty Lugnuts, who 5 days ago was ruthlessly frozen in carbonite by Prince Xizor. This incident occurred in an arid desert in the Spice Mines of Kessel. The deceased was reported to have shouted "Prepare to make the jump to light speed!" just before expiring. Rusty Lugnuts was reportedly accompanied by several Ewoks who fled the scene. To celebrate this important victory, the Emperor will use the Force to levitate a taun-taun.
  9. This just seems to me to be another example of what Trump has done from the beginning - ramp up the rhetoric with an extreme proposal in the beginning, then softening his stance to get negotiations going. I honestly believe that you can interpret 80% of his proposals as being examples of this approach. That's why I went on record months ago with a "wait and see" attitude.
  10. If those families are rich because of the family business, then they won't remain rich for long with that attitude.
  11. Do you mean a full-scale switch from a capitalist to a socialist economy?
  12. I wouldn't be surprised one bit to learn that my most oft-repeated phrase in this thread is "that is the most idiotic thing I've ever heard", because once again that is the most idiotic thing I've ever heard. Nature makes us either male or female; two gender, one species. How on earth can it be unethical to label something that occurs in nature as being "unnatural". And parents are shelling out thousands to send their children to places that teach this kind of crap?
  13. Seen the news this morning? http://www.cnn.com/2017/04/26/politics/trump-nafta/
  14. Not sure I follow you on this - do you mean increased government regulation and oversight of the deployment and use of emerging technologies? By my experience, technology tends to develop more quickly and affordably without government involvement.
  15. Then you understand that each of the 50 states has it's own elected legislature and a governor acting as an executive that signs that legislation into law, and that each of these state governments acts independently of the other 49 state governments; that this is how each state best serves the interests of it's citizenry. The role of the federal government is literally to defend the union's borders and provide for the general welfare - there is no need for the type of duplicate services provided by Washington that are already provided by the individual states. So there are "states", and there are "states".
  16. Your question isn't one of capitalism vs socialism as much as it is federalism vs socialism. We live in the only nation that I know of where many citizens don't recognize the words "state" and "nation" as synonyms, but rather regard them as completely different things. A good starting point for learning more about this would be to look up several definitions or explanations of what federalism is and how it works.
  17. War Pigs!!!!
  18. Humor, poetic justice, irony and......John Bacon.
  19. I was wondering that, too. I did a little research about drug dogs but found nothing convincing either way. I was wondering if it actually was cocaine, or possibly something else illegal that might have a stronger smell, but I don't know anything about chemical drugs or pharmaceuticals.
  20. Pig face?! Looks more like a trout to me.
  21. I may have posted a part of this video further up-thread - I looked but didn't see it. Anyway, one quote in particular stands out: if people can't control their own emotions, then they have to start trying to control other people's behavior.
  22. Instrumental version of the old Yardbirds tune:
  23. Yes, you did. And in amusing fashion too, which is much appreciated.
  24. Me too, but with all the people that still quote that fool, it makes the ignore feature largely irrelevant.
  25. I'm surprised that Austin didn't make that list. Travis County had adopted sanctuary city policies across the board.
