It's kind of depressing to know that so many people could stand to lean a lot by watching Judge Judy.

It's not a question if I or anyone else would support erecting a statue of Booth or any of his fellow conspirators, but whether I would support their removal. I would not. We recognize and commemorate historical acts, not all of which were heroic. If you wish to cleanse evil from the time line, concentrate on the future and leave the past alone.

Then by all means, let's rewrite history so that future generations never know the nation's struggle against slavery, the lives lost trying to maintain the union, the struggle of brother against brother, or the underlying cause of black Americans' struggle for equality.

I won't dispute anything you're saying about various intel agencies and their involvement, mainly because I don't know enough about the subject to say either way. What pisses me off is: a) the wave of unverified information that our major news outlets are feeding us that they're getting from anonymous sources purportedly 'close to the president' that they are trying to pass off as hard news. b) the willingness to both believe and propagate it by the intellectually lazy and the true believer/bitter clingers. c) the fact that we have people supposedly working in the capacity of public service that apparently have no problem subverting the executive branch. I do like to offer people a chance though. Hell, it was at least two years before I put gator on ignore.

Why don't you go out on a limb and tell us? You apparently know more than anyone in the Washington press does, because nobody has been named as actually doing anything, and all information comes from either memos, the contents of which were described by an unnamed third party, or was revealed by unnamed, unidentified, or anonymous sources. Of course, I could be wrong. Maybe you have no idea who this official is, and you're just a pawn for the leftist/statist puppeteers.

I think the funny thing is that for years, the American left has essentially been attempting to do this very thing; create a socialist society run by a dominant central authority. Now they're doing everything in their power to have the American people perceive this administration as being the exact thing that they've aspired to all along. I haven't decided if that's just laughably stupid of them or utterly galling, but either way it's pretty damned pathetic. Message to Democrats: you lost. Take your lumps, lick your wounds, regroup and try for once to come up with a plan that benefits the nation instead of advancing the socialist agenda.
